Punjabi Angithi — Restaurant in Delhi

Local resident of Janakpuri recommended me to try food once from here & being weekend start thought to do so.

The place does not delivers in my area but was in Mayapuri for some work so thought to receive it there only while going back home.

As didn't wanted to take any risk with my dinner, so only ordered Paneer Malai Tikka (half) through Zomato only. Post ordering a friend called in and informed she is visiting to have dinner with me & I immediately called in the outlet & checked if can order more & same will be delivered with previous order & they agreed, although it was on short notice & I really appreciate it.

So finally, we both end up enjoying the most yumilicious Veg dinner.

Along with Malai Paneer Tikka, I added Stuffed Chaap in starters & was disappointed when I opened the packet because instead of Malai Paneer Tikka I was served Malai Soya Chaap (due to distance issue, it could not be changed but the outlet felt sorry & said it got exchanged with other order).

Well to be honest, exchange turned out satisfactory as Malai Soya Chaap was really good & very soft in chewing. Perfect marination was used in it. Stuffed Chaap was again wow.

Achari Paneer Masala & Soya Tawa Tikka Masala in main course did wonders as both had unique flavours with right amount of spices & Achari Paneer Masala had real flavour of pickle, MUST TRY.

Lachha Parantha & Butter Naan were usual but Garlic Naan was disappointment as it lacked in it's taste & Special Keema Parantha has less flavour, it could be made much better.

Last but not the least, a special mention for Delivery guy "Mustkim" as he was really courteous in talking & also understood the exact location of delivery & delivered on exact time.

This place is a MUST TRY for all Veg folks & you will be satisfied for what you paid for.

Best part, as compare to other outlets, serving of Vinegar Onion quantity was good.

Satisfactory dinner with...

So, I ordered this hugggggeeeee amount of food from Punjabi Angithi for my office party. It was a party for 15-20 people and the stakes were high. But going by my guts and the reviews on the internet and ofcourse their elaborate menu, I relied both for my starters and main course on them. Had they compromised on quality or quantity, I sure would have been embarassed but they delivered above my expectations.

The items ordered were: 4 tandoori platters- stuffed aloo, mushroom, mix chaaps and paneer tikka 4 Chinese platters- Manchurian, hakka noodles and spring rolls 3 family combos for main course

Now the good part is: Food was sufficient and economical. It was too good in taste and the flavors were in line with the indian taste buds; chatpata, spicy and kadak!

The bad part: It is a good part in disguise. The quantity is amazing. Even if I had ordered 3 each tandoori and chinese platters and 2 family combos, they would have been enough for 20 people. Also, the breads that usually get soggy after an hour or so, were intact in taste. I said bad part because the quantity was huge for me. I could have saved a lot of bucks had I known that they are too generous with their service😛😛.

The best part about the entire experience was that Mr.Monu (owner) himself drove from Janakpuri to Jasola to deliver the food and counted the packets for me. Also, he gave disposables for the entire party free of cost. And also, he added extra pieces of few items in each platter because of my special request.

Everybody loved the food, took the food home because the quantity was huge and asked me to share the number of this food joint.

Punjabi Angithi, Janakpuri, New Delhi is located in A1 Block, LSC, DDA Market, Janakpuri. They specialize around North Indian, Chinese cuisines They charge very inexpensive payable budget of 400 INR. for two people. They are functional between 11am – 11pm. Indoor seating places are available.

Their Keema naan is filling. Their Dal makhana has a thick gravy and is very luscious. Their Garlic naan is very buttery. Their Paneer lababdar comprises of soft paneer pieces. Their Kadai chaap is one of the best served in town. Their Stuff chaap masala is well filled with aromatic spices and ingredients. Their lacha Parantha are very tempting as well.

Their Dal Makhni Punjabi Tadka is very buttery. and contains correct amount of thickness and tanginess. Their Paneer Do Pyaza is made of amazing intense gravy which has perfect blend of fresh veggies. Their Afghani Chaap comes with sauté veggies like onion and capsicum and is very spicy in nature. Their Mushroom Tikka comprises of healthy choices of herbs and spices with perfectly grilled texture. Their Hariyali Paneer Tikka has authentic flavouring.

Punjabi Angithi, Janakpuri restaurant at New Delhi offers many of the food items that have a perfect mix of softness and spices in every bite. Their vicinity filled with fragrance of Punjabi spices will leave you craving of their rich North Indian food. Their food is nicely packed and the pricing of the dishes is properly done.
