Ordered 2 Burgers and Onion Rings from Sandburg and honestly was very disappointed. A rating of 4.3 is considered very high and so I thought of trying a different place than my usual , which I often do and find new gems but this place is just mediocre at it's fines. The 2 burgers I ordered were - Tandoori Pollo Burger and Wild Lamb Burger . I added their 5 pieces of Onion Rings to my meal on top of the burgers.
Delivery came before the time mentioned which was great but I had also ordered very late when most likely they didn't have many orders , but that's a plus. The packaging was very very nice for sure. Everything was packed properly, the burgers were intact and it was beautiful and fun as well. Opened the packaging of the Chicken Burger first which also had the Onion rings and the 5 onion rings sat next to the paper wrapped burger. Then the Lamb burger was unveiled and it's packaging was even better , like one could easily eat out of the box it came in as it unfolds into a square plate.
Now coming to the food -
Onion Rings - Very good sized onion rings and 5 of them (not enough in my opinion) but that was the meal option for not a huge premium. It was fried well and was topped with some piri piri spice. The taste was nice with that spice but sadly it has a mouth residue which stuck to the top of my mouth and found it a bit irritating. The other disappointment with these was the batter , it wasn't crispy whatsoever. Like the moment you look at it the outer layer doesn't look crispy whatsoever so yeah. Overall it was decent 3/5.
Tandoori Pollo Burger - A pretty classic topping burger but with Indian flavours like Tandoori Sauce and Mint Chutney. It's a Chicken Patty based burger and the party itself was decent , the taste was nice but it was dry. Lettuce , pickled onions , Tomato and all were good and abundant. Mint chutney was the thing which I didn't see nor taste so I believe it was absent all together. The Tandoori sauce was pretty nice but have had much better ones from fast food joints plus it was pretty sparse. Now here was the main thing - Patty Size was just ridiculously small. The bun was sooo much bigger that the patty only covered 70-75% of the bun ... That's a complete rip off and is just unjust. The Bun was good. Rating this 2.5/5.
Wild Lamb Burger - Another burger with a tiny patty. The pictures on Zomato Online which they have are misguiding as in those the burger and patty ratio seems perfect , but it's not. This was again like 70% burger patty vs the bun which is really disappointing. The Burger itself had good flavours. A great amount of caramelized onions , a decent amount of goat's cheese and a good amount of the Chipotle sauce while the roasted peppers were a bit scarce. Overall the flavour was good on this burger but wished they added more peppers , a bit more goats cheese and had a bigger patty. Rating this 3.5/5 simply due to the great taste.
Overall I am pretty disappointed with my experience especially considering such a high rating. The burgers had tiny patties , some components were missing or barely there and quality wasn't very high. I could have honestly had a much better meal for a lower price from a fast food joint or a competitors restaurant. Packaging was good but for 712rs for my meal I am utterly...
