I dined at staple for lunch recently and my experience was, let's just say quite a mix of highs and lows. It was a Monday so we were the only two at the restaurant. We started with the chorizo kulcha and pulled pork baos. I loved the kulcha, it came out hot it was cheesy slightly spicy and had that signature chorizo tang, that with the spicy onions and chutney just worked! Then the pulled pork bao, the bao in itself was great, the cook on the pork was great but what lacked was the flavour of the paanch phoran and the kasundi in the bbq sauce. Although I don't see the sense of a mustard in a bbq sauce I was open and excited to be proven wrong but was met with disappointment as I didn't find the taste of the kasundi in the sauce. The presentation was basic and the flavours lacked but I still liked the dish. Finally we ordered the chicken pepperfry with the Malabar parotta. This dish was a let down for two reasons. 1 the chicken was shredded and cooked in the sauce which I did not like, made for an underwhelming texture on the pallete and also a little dryness. I was expecting boneless thigh pieces that were slightly fried and then tossed in a delicious black pepper And curry leaf sauce. Also the parottta was cold undercooked and doughy. This dish was a let down. The servers were good and the menu was small and precise which i always like. A lot of new and modern takes on classic dishes And a great cocktail menu. The ambience at the roof could do with some work but the the dine in indoor area was cozy and chic. Overall 3/5 but I will definitely go again to try the rest...

STAPLE RESTAURANT in Delhi truly stands out as a gem for vegetarian dining. As a vegetarian myself, I anticipated a menu with limited and predictable choices, given the name. However, my culinary journey at STAPLE proved to be a delightful surprise, offering a refreshing departure from the ordinary vegetarian fare.

The menu boasts an impressive array of regional delights, showcasing culinary treasures from diverse corners of India. From the hearty Kulcha of Amritsar's Maqbool Road to the comforting Indori Bhutte ki Kees and the sweet indulgence of West Bengal's Mishti Doi, STAPLE takes you on a flavorful voyage across the country. What sets these dishes apart is the skilled touch of Sangram's chefs, elevating each bite to a new level of tasteful bliss.

The experience of dining at STAPLE is not just about enjoying individual dishes; it's a culinary symphony. As we savored each creation, the harmonious progression from one specialty to another, shared among three or four diners, added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. The diverse range of flavors and textures made our dining experience unique, memorable, and undeniably satisfying.

My taste buds are already yearning for a return visit to STAPLE, eager to explore the tantalizing dishes that I couldn't savor during my first delightful encounter. If you're a vegetarian or simply someone who appreciates extraordinary flavors, STAPLE is a culinary haven that promises to exceed your expectations and leave you...

Hands down one of the best butter chicken in town. We really enjoyed our family dinner. The chicken tikka, mutton seekh and the amritsari fish and chips were amazingly delicious. Lastly the main course and the breads especially the kulchas were perfect. To all the people who think they had the best Indian food should try this. Thank me later Update based on my second visit in Nov-24 The team at Staple has taken it to a new level. With new and unique dishes and cocktails added to the menu. Plus now I really enjoyed the live singing. Excellent food with a beautiful mood. What else do you want for your money ?

A comfortable place with good food to hangout with friends. The location is brilliant. Away from crowded streets. The interior is minimal with a lot of natural light from large windows. I went for lunch with friends. We ordered kathal biryani: brilliant taste. Kathal pieces could have been smaller and tender Kathal vada pav: it was a different experience but good Matar kulcha: lovely taste Chhole kulcha: a good mix of spices Cold coffee: light and homely Lemonade: well made The staff is very cooperative and well mannered. Good experience.
