The Backyard — Restaurant in Delhi

It’s a good place to enjoy food and drinks in Punjabi Bagh yet I found the place to be a little too dark which may be preferable by some but is something off my list when I consider a place’s ambience.

Rest assured, this place serves some really good food and drinks from different cuisines, here are a few dishes I tried and would recommend:

*HONEY CHILLI LOTUS STEM: If you love extra spice in your life, you definitely need to try onto this one.

*CHICKEN LOLLIPOP: These are just your average chicken lollipop but the portion size is ample enough to serve 2

*BAO TERIYAKI: Not the best but good enough considering the place is serving multi-cuisine dishes, worth a try

*KHAO SUEY: A bowl full of curry with noodles, signature burmese dish and one of my favourites from pan asian cuisine, was very well prepared here

For the drinks I liked their shakes more than the cocktails prepared, Oreo shake here...

So, I finally checked out The Backyard in Punjabi Bagh, and it was a solid experience! The place has a cozy, laid-back vibe with cool wooden interiors and some greenery. It’s not too big, so it feels intimate but not cramped.

The food is a mix of Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, and American. We tried the White Sauce Mushroom Pasta and it was just as good. Avocado Toast on the other hand was highly disappointing, nowhere close to what was expected. Drinks-wise, their cocktails are strong, and if you’re up for a challenge, try “Death by Backyard” it’s got Red Bull, tequila, schnapps, and Jägermeister!

The crowd is mostly young, the atmosphere is lively but not too loud, and they have live performances on weekends. If you’re looking for a fun spot to chill with friends, The Backyard is definitely...

Online orders are a big issue with this restaurant. I have experienced it twice, order once placed, cancelled by the restaurant and they are only willing to accept orders from Swiggy. Zomato gives great discount and I wonder why the order gets cancelled. They forst accept and then they cancel, so basically the koney gets deducted from the card and one has to wait for 5-7 days for its refund plus the time one looses to place the order. I have also posted the same on zomato and raised the issue with them and their reply was that the restaurant cancelled the order. I called the restaurant and they said that it was cancelled by Zomato. The blame game and no one wants to take the responsibilty.
