Rating my experience in a precise manner in a scale of 5:

Ambience: 👍👍👍👍👍 what an alfresco ambience,, it feels airy, warm and close to nature. Service : 👍👍👍👍👍 Staff : 👍👍👍👍👍 friendly and humble Pricing : 👍👍👍👍 ( Based on all my history cafés experience, this seems to be a bit more pricy measuring from the level of taste 👅 but I am gonna leave it to the chef.. in fact no complaint)

Food overall rating:3.5 Rating list wise:

  1. Coffee: Best coffee ever had( better than Starbucks or Barista frankly speaking 👍👍👍👍👍)
  2. Broccoli and Almond soup for myself : 👍👍👍👍👍 but my partner rated 👍👍👍( Reason: He was expecting something solid in the soup to chew while simultaneously souping.. but I guess that’s how the soup is supposed to be originally )
  3. Pork momos ( I don't recall the name) : 👍👍👍 Reason: need to reduce extra ginger and grind it well because while enjoying hot momos to suddenly taking a bite of raw ginger in between takes the palate away. Additionally, personally I enjoy momos dip in a spicy sauce but that sauce wasn’t there.

Request: Instead of serving two same sauces and green chutney, you can serve: One green chutney, the less spicy sauce and the spicy sauce or alternatively you can promptly ask the customers of their preference to avoid wasting the sauce.

I hope the cafe find my review helpful to help the cafe improve. Wishing you the best!

Would I recommend friends and family members? — Definitely Would I visit again? Of course

Must go only: If you love peaceful, cosy and warm space If you embrace nature and finding happiness in little imperfections If you embrace simplicity, this place will naturally make you to be yourself and have a comfortable chit chat...

I recently visited The Local Cafe and opted for a seat on the second floor, where the ambiance offered a serene view of trees and open windows. Despite the pleasant setting, my dining experience was a mix of highs and lows.

One notable drawback was the absence of music, which, in my opinion, could have enhanced the overall atmosphere. Additionally, the presence of smokers in the vicinity detracted from the otherwise tranquil environment.

For starters, we ordered the keema noodles, and unfortunately, they failed to impress. The dish felt like a fusion of traditional keema (commonly paired with chapati) with noodles. The combination seemed mismatched, and the flavors didn't harmonize as expected.

On a brighter note, the Canzone and Kothey momos were highlights of the meal. The Canzone was delightful, and the Kothey momos, though not perfect due to slightly thicker skin, tasted good.

However, the Amdo Flat Noodles with Hot Laphing Sauce left much to be desired. The noodles were bland, and the excessive oiliness of the sauce didn't contribute positively. Despite being served cold, as apparently intended, the overall taste failed to win me over.

In terms of quantity, the portions were generous, ensuring you won't leave hungry. The vibe of the place was generally good, with a peaceful ambiance on the second floor.

In conclusion, this cafe offers a decent dining experience with some hits and misses in the menu. If you're in the mood for a peaceful setting and don't mind a few culinary inconsistencies, it's worth a visit for a...

We had a really disappointing experience with them today. This was my third visit to them in the same month. While the food is good, no doubt. The attitude of the service staff was highly unprofessional when it came to the bill payment. They refused to accept payment in Rs. 2000 notes because according to them those notes are ‘banned’ in India. Please note nowhere in the establishment or the menu card have they written that they don’t accept 2000 notes for payment. Further, we were told by the manager Mr. AK that their boss had asked them not to accept 2000 notes because the bank is are no longer accepting them. This was definitely the lowest point because not only are they refusing to accept a legal tender currency but also misleading the customer by spreading false information. I would also like to mention that their staff who brought us the bill, came back with the 2000 note and literally threw it on the table as if it wasn’t money. Highly disrespectful.

We had already had the meal so went ahead to give them the card for payment and they again refused to accept cards. Let me mention again, that there was no notice/ signage in their establishment or the menu that informed of this.

So basically if you go here, you can either pay UPI ( which not everyone uses) or in non-2000 notes because according to them they are banned in India and the banks don’t accept them.

It left such a sour aftertaste that I have taken to Google to put down this review in addition to Zomato because such practices should not...

Hello people !! How are you celebrating your friendship day ? I hope beer is on the line. Instagram is everything - it can be nice, addictive & sometimes too overwhelming but there are times when it also helps you in finding out some overhyped outlets. Few weeks ago I visited this outlet which was at that time under tremendous limelight I would say. There were some rumours that they serve good food and have a very sorted ambience. Well That’s not completely true. They do have a pleasant ambience but the quality food they serve is not upto the mark. Food - We ordered 2 cups of cappuccino, 1 platter of chicken kothey momos and their grilled chicken sandwich. Cappuccino were good, sandwiches were okay too but momos were sheer disappointment. It was nicely presented but the fillings didn’t felt fresh. Plus, it wasn’t juicy as well felt very dry. Service and staff - It’s completely understandable that if you’re sold out then there can be some margins of error but if half of your tables are empty and still you’re blundering then that’s a matter of concern. They took the order from us but took a lot of time in bringing the food to our table. Price - Price is okay but quality is average. Also, the service which you’ll get can’t be promising. So to me it was a bit expensive !!

Visited The Local Cafe in Greater Kailash on a warm afternoon, drawn in by their reputation for momos. The cafe is spread across two floors — the first floor offers air-conditioned indoor seating, while the terrace upstairs is open-air without any cooling, which isn’t ideal during the peak Delhi heat. I decided to wait for a while specifically to get a spot in the air-conditioned section, and thankfully, it was worth the wait. I was there mainly to try their momos, which I had heard great things about. I ordered Kothey Momos with a potato and cheese filling, as well as a portion of Jhol Momos. And honestly, they did not disappoint. The kothey momos were beautifully crisp on the outside, while the filling was fresh, flavorful, and juicy — a perfect balance of textures and taste. The jhol momos had a lovely spicy broth that added an extra punch to the dish. What did disappoint me a bit, though, was the lack of beverage options. There were no sugar-free drinks or even a basic Diet Coke available, which was surprising and a little inconvenient. That aside, the food was definitely the highlight. Would return for the momos alone, but hope they expand their drink menu soon.

The Local Cafe: A Dimsum Haven The Local Cafe is an absolute gem for dimsum lovers! From the moment I stepped in, I was engulfed in a tranquil ambiance. The serene setting, coupled with the delightful melodies playing in the background, set the perfect mood for a relaxing dining experience.Their dimsums were an absolute delight—each one bursting with flavor and made with utmost precision. The variety was impressive, and every bite was a tantalizing journey through authentic taste and quality ingredients. Moreover, the tea served was simply divine—soothing and complementing the flavors of the dimsums perfectly. The staff was courteous, attentive, and added to the overall pleasantness of the visit.I can't emphasize enough how much of an OMG experience it was! I wholeheartedly recommend The Locale Cafe to anyone looking for an exceptional dimsum and tea experience. It's a place that deserves to be shared and cherished by everyone!
