Poor hygiene , Slow service & Pathetic food.
This restaurant used to be one of the best places to visit for vegetarian food.
Now, they have got it all wrong. Service is horribly slow and the staff seems as lost as cows in a grassland. There is no-cordination amongst the staff at any level.
Food orders take a minimum of 45 minutes and that too for simple south indian food orders like a dosa or idli. Forget timing the north indian food service as you would be stuck here for another 30 minutes. All requests fall to deaf ears and it's only when guests start shouting in frustration that the staff begins to put the table on a priority list. Sad !
I saw multiple diners exit the restaurant ,after having waited on the dinner table for almost half an hour, to be served.
The hygiene is a major sore point, with plastic plates showing oil stains smeared across. The cutlery is metal, but with similar degrees of poor cleanliness.
The approach to the restaurant is nothing to talk about either. It's on the 3rd floor of a dilapidated building ,tucked away from civilization.
The staircase is impossible to use, because it stinks of ammonia (use your imagination). Thus, you are left with no option but to use the elevator.
This so called elevator, can only accommodate 2 people. If four of you go in, then there isn't enough room to twist, forget turning.
I remember taking the elevator at Hilton Hotel in Manhattan, which took about 30 seconds to reach my room, on the 45th floor. The elevator timing here is the same, just that this one only climbs up 3 floors.
In summary, take the elevator and you will be a fruit packed in a carton, being lifted up a container ship, stuck in a time loop forever. Scary, nauseating and claustrophobic!
I used to be a fan of Shubham Valley restaurant until 2012,when it used to serve great food at a decent location and with reasonable hygiene standards.
Now -Food isn't much to talk about either, sadly. I am not much of a food critic, but I can easily spot a cold brittle dosa served with a tiny bowl of luke warm sambar. Dont imagine - Let me explain ... The tiny bowl of sambar is the same sized bowl that you use to feed seeds to your pet parrot or cuckoo.
Extremely dissatisfied on all parameters.I wouldn't be surprised if these guys get worse reviews in the days to...
Read moreI used to enjoy Shubham valley Restaurant in Dwarka Sector 10 very much till the time I sat in front of their kitchen. A quite heavy chef was using a broom ( i understand it must have been a different broom altogether) to wipe out the Dosa Tawa to cool it down. It was quite an unclean feeling. I had never seen this anywhere before. I just feared that my guests do not see it. So if you can sit far from the kitchen you can enjoy their rasam and papad, coffee, dosa and uttappam as I had always done. The staff is quite cooperating and helpful. The manager even once helped me enjoy the coffee the South Indian way using the glass and the katori. I really liked this place. If only they could find a better and pleasant way to cool down the tawa. I am sure many customers must have been missing this...
Read moreOrdered twice from this restaurant. First i ordered uttapam with buttermilk. they just deliver it with coconut chutney, no sambhar no buttermilk just uttapam with fresca. I thought may be they messed up the order. Second time i ordered from swiggy the vada sambhar,to my surprise they deliver this time without any chutney just sambhar that too was of a very less quantity and was leaking as it was not sealed properly and the whole package was a mess. I assume the staff and the management both are not taking care of what they offer and what they deliver. Inspite of decent quality of food there customer service, order service and delivery ethics failed to make a mark. If the management and staff is listening please improve...
