A Mixed Experience at Gola Sizzlers, Indirapuram

I recently visited Gola Sizzlers, the newly opened establishment in Indirapuram Habitat Centre, Ghaziabad, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows.

The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasing, creating a comfortable dining environment. The staff, who seemed knowledgeable about the menu, were helpful and added to the overall positive experience.

We began with Honey Chilli Potato, which leaned towards the sweeter side. However, the Chilli Chicken was a delightful surprise - juicy and flavorful. On the flip side, the Margareta Pizza left much to be desired, lacking the expected Italian taste.

The highlight of our meal was the Sizzlers – we tried both the Veg Shashlik Sizzler and the Breast of Chicken Sizzler. They lived up to their reputation, offering a delightful combination of flavors. A minor suggestion would be to serve the Potato Fries on the side to prevent them from becoming soggy due to the sizzling heat.

The Butter Garlic Prawns were a tasty addition to the meal, while the Amritsari Fish stood out as a flavorful blast. On the beverage front, the Virgin Sangria, unfortunately, tasted overly sweet, resembling a cough syrup.

In conclusion, Gola Sizzlers is worth a try, especially for their signature Sizzlers. One Sizzler proves to be sufficient for two individuals. While there were some hits and misses in the menu, the overall experience...

Overhyped and Overcrowded – A Major Letdown

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this restaurant was a serious disappointment and absolutely not worth the hype. It’s one of those places that looks good on social media but fails miserably in reality.

To begin with, the place was overpopulated and chaotic. There’s barely any space to sit comfortably, and the constant crowding made it more stressful than enjoyable. The lack of systems for managing customers, orders, and seating was painfully obvious. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the staff had no clue what they were doing.

The manager didn’t seem up to the mark either—unprofessional, disinterested, and clearly not in control of the situation. The staff was confused, which led to mixed-up orders at several tables, including ours.

And let’s talk about the food—which was another major letdown. After a long wait, what we finally received was cold, bland, and definitely not up to the mark. It felt rushed and lacked flavor or presentation. For a place that charges premium prices and thrives on hype, this was unacceptable.

The long waiting times, poor crowd management, and lackluster food made this an overall bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble—there are plenty of better-managed restaurants with better food...

I must say I am incredibly disappointed with the food and service. I had the Kafir Lime Soda with a peri peri chicken sizzler and fried momos.

Food: Kafir Lime Soda - Great presentation, I was very exited to taste it but was let down by the taste. It felt like the chef had served me melted gummy bears in a glass.

Peri-Peri Chicken Sizzler - Again, Great presentation but sadly the dish itself was quite lackluster. There was only 4 pieces of chicken that were very average. The chicken was served with rice that was completely soaked in Peri Peri sauce so, it didn't taste very good. The respectable part of the dish was the fries.

Momo (fried) - Nothing much of substance to say other than average.

When we were trying to order it seemed that the waiters were more invested with having their conversation then actually serving us. When we did order we had to confirm it twice because he was so confused. And when I had gotten the momos the waiter had taken the sauces away! As if I would eat it without sauce!
