Haldiram's - Angel Mega Mall Kaushambi — Restaurant in Ghaziabad

Visited Haldiram’s Angel Mega Mall Kaushambi on 12th Oct-23, for dinner. They have a sweet shop on ground floor and restaurant on first floor of the mall, which is connected through steep stairs from the sweet shop, or alternatively, through the lift of the mall.

First shock was that the option of going to restaurant using the lift of the mall, is CLOSED as Restaurant door on the first floor of the mall, is CLOSED. Hence the restaurant is not accessible for PD and those having problem negotiating stairs.

Second shock came when a person came with a TAB for order, and for items costing Rs.298/- (with Taxes), we were asked to make a UPI payment of Rs. 520/-. When confronted, demand came down to some thing around Rs. 320/-. Since UPI payment failed due to bank problems, we wanted to pay through card – but to our surprise, we were told that they will accept ONLY UPI payment. It took long arguments, and we finally went to the cash counter, to realise that Haldiram’s probably have outsourced Order and table service, and the service provider was trying to cheat us.

Third shock / surprise came on the food delivery counter, where water was dripping all along, from airconditioner duct – and also on the food trays kept on the counter – So UNHYGINIC – never imagined, Haldiram’s can go down...

The BEST Haldiram This place never disappoints. But I took the time to write this review as me and my family reached here at 10:35 p.m. yesterday. We were seven adults and very hungry and these people only had a few dishes left and all ready to close but they never denied us service. Instead, they made sure we were fed and even had the courtesy to ask us if we need anything else before closing their counter. I am so thankful to them and want to appreciate their staff for it. I did tip them extra, but a shoutout here is necessary. Thank you!! p.s. Even otherwise, on normal days, their food is always amazing, the atmosphere is…dated but I love it. The 2010s instrumental music playing, the vast sitting areas with wall glasses all around are just perfect. I hope this place never closes or changes, I love it...

The AC has been fixed and it is working fine now. It has been a major concern for a long time and I personally avoided going to this outlet because of this problem. But now it is fixed and it feels nice to come here anytime of the day. I like the freshly made food items here, especially the Chole Bhature. But I have faced stomach aches whenever I consumed their Samosas or Cutlets or even Dhoklas. My mother was diagnosed with possible food poisoning after she consumed Samosas from this outlet. I would advice that if you are buying these kind of products form the ground floor which are precooked, then take it at your own RISK. I would also request the management to...
