I visited this place when I was craving hard for some mouth smacking south Indian food, so I mostly do take aways and while I'm waiting I'm busy observing what's going around me, so nothing upscale about the place, its simple, clean but not as clean as it should be, points deducted there as for me any place serving food must be super clean after all its food that we are talking about, secondly staff is shabby dressed with the typical duster on their shoulder, one guy was wearing formals and rubber slippers with it, you must be joking, I don't understand the logic of the management mentality, even if your serving the most simple food, what on earth stops you from standing out in all aspects from the crowd and specially in a place like goa where every second step you come across an eatery joint, that's falling back on the competitive market, coz if someone wants to eat anything particular they will no matter what and that's how these places take advantage and lack in what they have to offer, so coming to what I'm supposed to be talking about, food, yes the food is ok, tastes good, I did find taste of butter in the dosa and the potatoes within the dosa tasted good too, the uddin Wada was crispy, soft and fresh the sambar had the perfect taste and the most famous coconut chutney was a disappointment as it tasted a lil sour which means twas old and someone did not bother to check what was being served, I found the idli to be thick and heavy, trust me I've eaten idli in other places and they were super light and fluffy, all said and done I repeat what I say, don't judge the pace based on my reviews, go and check it out yourself, you never know what takes you...
Read moreMy experience was disappointing. Even though I am disappointed l will only mention the thing I found bad. I had ordered Masala papad, Tomato soup, paneer kadai and chapati. While other items were OK my evening was ruined by the main course which is kadai paneer. I had asked the waiter to make the dish medium spicy. And their cook or chef messed it up big time in order to make it medium spicy. The sugar added to nullify the spicyness was way out of proportion. The dish was sweet like honey. Imagine eating capsicum, onion and paneer cubes in a gravy of honey. I reported the same to waiter, their manager and also their owner. They were in denial mode and they told me that it is medium spicy as per my request which it wasn't. I was expecting them to reduce bill amount to compensate for badly cooked paneer kadai but they had very indifferent attitude. I am never gonna visit this...
Read moreMy takeaway experience from this restaurant left me with mixed feelings, primarily due to the unexpectedly small size of the roti. Priced at Rs.25 each, I was surprised to find that the rotis were incredibly tiny – one or at most two normal bites would finish them. What compounded the issue was the lack of prior information about the diminutive size.
It would have been immensely helpful if the restaurant had mentioned the small size while giving out the take-away parcels. This oversight became apparent when I needed to order food again later in the night. It left me questioning the purpose of taking food from their place when the portion size wasn't communicated clearly, leading to the need for another round of ordering.
While taste and quality are essential, transparency about portion sizes, especially for takeaways, is...
