I recently had the chance to dine at a seafood restaurant known for its authentic coastal flavors, and one of the highlights of my visit was their King Fish Thali. The thali is thoughtfully curated, offering a wholesome meal that perfectly captures the essence of traditional seafood cuisine. The star of the plate, of course, is the king fish fry — fresh, thick, and marinated with a blend of spices that give it a smoky, tangy flavor. The fish was fried to perfection, crisp on the outside while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. Alongside this, the thali included a flavorful fish curry with just the right balance of spice and coconut, which paired wonderfully with steamed rice. Complementary dishes such as a tangy chutney, seasonal vegetable sides, and a crisp papad added depth to the meal. What makes this thali stand out is the freshness of the ingredients and the way the flavors remind you of a coastal home-cooked meal rather than something overly commercialized. Portion size is generous, making it satisfying for even a hearty appetite. If you’re a seafood lover, this King Fish Thali is definitely worth trying — it delivers both authenticity and taste in every bite. The staff is...
Read moreI have been going to Azura for the last 17 years.. and this place is very special.
This is an amazing restaurant. The menu caters for every food preference, and they even make homemade pies!!!
Which is a must try for the many people who love homemade pies
The restaurant is refurbished every year, has beautiful decor, and is immaculately clean.
The service is second to none, and the staff are very friendly, efficient, and organised, and everyone is welcomed warmly.
Nello and Vijay, who work there, are extremely good at their job, and providing excellent customer service is their forte.
The owners, Michael & and Rachel, are fabulous people.
They look after their customers so well and really care for you. They treat you like family, and everyone gets to know each other there and it has become a base for a lovely community that has grown massively over the years
Amazing restaurant, amazing staff, amazing food, amazing customers, and amazing owners.
Cannot recommend enough
For anyone visiting Candolim, Azura is a must try restaurant.
They also have top notch accommodation above the restaurant, with very reasonable prices for the location.
Love you Azura

Read moreEasy to find place, just a couple of minutes walk from Candolim beach with basic alfresco seating and a reputation for some of the better grilled seafood around. Visiting off-season meant we were one of the two tables occupied here on a weeknight. Though the food we ordered was delicious and the wait staff was helpful and cordial, the actual options for fish were fewer than expected. For some of the grills you had the option for basa or basa, which is probably the most boring fish you could grill, and surprisingly a non-native choice. I ended up ordering chicken dishes and these turned out to be really good. Though a lot of reviews mentioned Azura as overpriced, I didn't find the prices bad at all, for the generous proportions they served. I'll probably visit Azura again during peak season, just to see if the experience is different. One last thing, don't order the club sandwich... unless you're ok with a chicken and slaw sandwich in which the only veggies were the ones the chicken ate before its sad demise. All in all a hit-or-miss experience for now. The rating is for what they got right, which was...
