Been here recently. The food here is above average. The mixed seafood soup arrived hot. The goan beef roast and cheese balls were yummy. Beef was a bit under-cooked. The fresh lime soda was very well made and the price was apt too. Main course called for mixed meat fried rice (a bit dry and hardly any meat). The sausage chilly fry was yum. Good quality pork sausages used. Dessert was a disappointment, to say the least. One asked for coconut pancakes, but what we got was just 3 thin, mini pancakes with some grated coconut thrown in and a blob of ice cream dumped over it. I mean, come on, Management. We come here for a gastronomic experience. When what we get is far from what is expected, it makes us want to think twice about returning. And the price, Rs. 300/-. So NOT worth it. Ordering pancakes not recommended. On an earlier experience 3-4 years ago, one had the authentic Alle-belle. But this time, it was a disaster. One more thing, is it polite for the servers to ask patrons for a tip to be added? I mean, isn't it out of choice? This has been happening since last year. The last time, we were literally escorted from the top floor to the ground floor and were blatantly asked to leave a tip. Not done. Teama needs to up their customer service skills. After renovation, the changes don't seem any better. There is scope for improvement....
Read moreI wish I had read these reviews before entering that silly place. I will list my experience one by one here First the server made a bad face when told that we will be eating in here instead taking away the food. He perhaps wanted the place for only white clients. We decided to order stilll because our baby was hungry and we wanted soft pancakes for him. When requested to the server to plz see that pan cakes are soft. His extra rude reply was, "pan cakes are soft only" Felt so unwanted there. This was not it. We were tired and their chairs were not comfortable for babies so made him sit on table for exactly one minute only while we waited for those terrible pancakes. Another rude server came and pointed at baby saying, put him down. I don't know why we kept sitting there still. I wanted to just take those oan cakes for my baby and leave. However I had high hopes that the manager will listen but Alas!!!!!, he is the one who is transmitting rudeness in his servers. When we talked to the manager that his servers should be little more considerate with clients with babies, he told me" We dont wish to be corrected" I was so shocked at his statement and left the restaurant in disbelief.
Go there if you want to spoil your mood. The food isn't...
Read moreMy experience at Teama was absolutely shocking, they practice open favouritism to be precise - their staff believes in busy patronizing only white skinned customers. Me and my friends took a table inside, where other customers were also sitting. A few minutes later one of their staff members asked us to vacate it, was talking rudely and turned off the fan without even asking us. Once we got up, he sat down and started refilling pepper/table salt/arranging paper napkins on the table. When we raised his behavior to the manager, she hardly took the feedback and instead asked to find another table outside in the scorching sun. While we were arguing about that, we saw that our earlier table was given to an elderly couple from Europe. I'd been to Teama before as well and had noticed how their staff prioritizes foreign customers over locals/Indians in terms of service and overall interaction. Please avoid this restaurant and rather try visiting other good restaurants in the vicinity, who'd treat you...
