First things first, the service here is so bad that I even got up to leave. I've never seen a restaurant who gives zero value to their customers. It took the staff almost 20 mins to come and take the order from us. Another half hour to clean the table which has food bits from the previous customers. And another 20-30 mins for our food to arrive. So in short, it took more than an hour and 15 mins for the food to reach us after we reached the restaurant. I'm never going there again, ever! And I'd recommend others not to either. Now talking about the food, I ordered a goan thali. It was a pathetic thali. You can't even call it a thali, there were very few items on the plate. I'll post a picture of the thali you can take a look. Even the taste wasn't anything good, except for one fish based curry and the fish fry everything else sucked. Total waste of money. It was so bad that My friends didn't even finish their thalis. Total waste of time and money,...
Read moreReached Goa with family which included my 90 year old grandfather. Now I generally don’t do reviews, but I feel I need to do one here. I had my parents and my grandfather. We waited for 45+ minutes for our order of Fish thalis. People who came half an hour after us were served thalis but my grandfather was made to wait for his food. We had travelled from Pune and directly reached the hotel at 3:15 pm wanting some food which took horrible service and arrogant behaviour by the staff there. When I went and told our plight to the owner lady who was at the billing counter, she started arguing as to how long we waited based on minutes - “it hasn’t been an hour.” Are you serious? This callous behaviour towards the elderly shows manners and careless attitude tourists have to face in Goa during peak season. Totally not a family restaurant as they...

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
Big Fish is a delightful discovery! This restaurant exudes a charming local vibe that instantly puts you at ease. While they offer a variety of cuisines, it's their Goan dishes that truly shine.
The highlight of this place is undoubtedly their lady chef, who conjures up dishes bursting with freshness. I ordered the prawns masala and xacuti vegetable, and both were a revelation. The flavors were simply outstanding, and you could taste the effort put into every dish.
Big Fish is a hidden gem, one of the most underrated restaurants I've come across. I have to say, it surpasses its competition, like Fat Fish, by a mile. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their fantastic Goan cuisine. Highly...
