Rio DeGoa Restobar — Restaurant in Goa

If there is a possibility of negative review I shall give that for this restaurant. Seeing the atmosphere around didn't feel like ordering any food but we were meeting a friend so we ended up ordering chana masala as a starter and then chicken steak. Chana masala had only boiled kabuli chana with no salt or peper nothing at all.complete tasteless and hopeless dish kept on menu. The second was a disaster too ..chicken half cooked , over boiled veggies hardly any kept on platter and mashed potatoes was only a coarse paste of potatoes. Surprisingly when the review was passed to the person who runs this restaurant the response was "cook is busy today" . So if cook is busy then pls stop servicing disastrous and tasteless food and should not charge for such kind of hospitality.

Kindly avoid this place unless you want to waste your time , money and spoil the mood.

Disappointed with the quality. We ordered for a Chonak Thali and a Mackerel Thali. Both had a tasteless, thin prawns curry which was nothing close to a Goan curry. The thali had kismoor, Lady finger & the fish fry along with rice.

The fish was over fried, the curry was watery, the kismoor had big sungta, no tisreo for a thali worth ₹350 which tasted like it's been made by a basic helper who doesn't know anything about Goan cuisine.

I saw a reel of a blogger showcasing the thali, and then decided to try this place. In the blog/video, it shows a better consistency, better food, and more variety for the same Thali.

I am a hotelier myself, and do not post negative reviews to tarnish anyone but for them to improvise & most importantly, serve what is marketed.

I hope you take this positively and make the change. Competition serves better quality at same or...

Authentic gown cuisine.Food was really good. Loved the thali. We were four adult people and were stuffed and got remaining parcelled!!! Staff were very hospitable. Atmosphere was good All food dishes were yummy!! Vegetarian people must try as very good variety is available here. That doesn't mean non-vegetarian items are less, rather exquisite cuisines are served. Service was great as was the ambiance. It's good for family n friends. Location is also apt as it's just beside the main road. Well maintained and hygienic. Will visit again for sure. I recommend this...
