Atmosphere Cafe Lovi offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that beautifully captures the essence of Goan culture. The decor is vibrant.
The Veg Platter Authentic Goan Poli and Hummus The highlight of Cafe Lovi is undoubtedly its veg platter, starting with the authentic Goan poli and hummus. The poli, a traditional Goan flatbread, is freshly made and delightfully soft, with a slightly crispy exterior. Paired with the smooth, creamy hummus, this combination is a flavor explosion. The hummus is perfectly balanced with just the right amount of garlic and tahini, making it a standout dish.
Fried Vegetables The fried vegetables are another star of the platter. Lightly battered and seasoned, the vegetables are crispy on the outside while maintaining a tender and juicy interior. The assortment includes bell peppers, zucchini, and baby corn, each contributing a unique flavor and texture. The seasoning is subtle yet effective, enhancing the natural taste of the vegetables without overpowering them.
Amazing Lemonade No meal at Cafe Lovi is complete without their amazing lemonade. Freshly squeezed and perfectly chilled, this lemonade is a refreshing companion to the veg platter. It strikes a perfect balance between tart and sweet, with a hint of mint that elevates the drink to another level. It's the ideal beverage to cleanse the palate and refresh your senses.
Service The service at Cafe Lovi is warm and friendly. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The food is served promptly, and special dietary requests are accommodated with a smile.
Overall Experience Cafe Lovi offers an exceptional dining experience with its delightful veg platter, featuring authentic Goan poli, hummus, and fried vegetables.    Read moreWe visited this place a few days ago. At first, we were a bit confused about where the café was located since there are a bunch of other businesses nearby, all joined together.
Speaking of the cafĂ©, itâs located quite close to the highway. I wouldnât recommend bringing your family hereâitâs better for small bites if youâre alone or with one other person. However, I wouldnât recommend sitting in the outdoor seating area. The only reason I say this is because neighboring cafĂ© owners will just stare at you with a straight face, which made me feel uncomfortable the whole time I was there.
As for the food this cafĂ© serves, itâs great overall. I loved their grilled poiĂ© sandwiches, and the cold coffee was excellent too. The service can be a tad slow compared to other cafĂ©s in the area, but the owners were super friendly and approachable. I really appreciated their calm and welcoming tone.
If someone is allergic to dogs or simply afraid of them, itâs best to avoid the outdoor seating. You might be surprised to see not only the ownersâ dogs but also a few rats wandering around to say hello. Add to that some houseflies, and no umbrellas if it rains. The management probably moves all the food to the first floor when it rains, where thereâs indoor seatingâbut keep in mind the staircase is quite narrow and could be difficult for older people to use.
In conclusion, I had an okay-ish experience here. While the outdoor seating wasnât great, the quality of the food made up for it. If youâre a young person dining alone or with one companion, this is a nice spot. Otherwise, your best bet might be to order...
Read moreThis cozy cafe is near the Benaulim beach road, just 5 min walk (300 m) from Maria hall and next to Bakery Pausenbrot. I had visited here, originally intending to visit Bakery Pausenbrot to have a breakfast, as I had heard quite a bit about it from the locals. However, upon reaching there to my suprise realized Pausenbrot was closed as it was Monday. Before I could head back I noticed Cafe Lovii just next to it and thought of checking the options they had to offer.
The cafe is quite good with variety of options on the menu and indoor/outdoor seating available. Their breakfast options and snacks are delicious, and the ambiance is relaxed.
For my breakfast I had ordered Cheese Omlette toast and one of their signature dishes Chicken Cafreal Grilled Poie. While I waited for my takeaway to be ready, I enjoyed a coffee there. The coffee was good in taste, upon having a conversation with the owner, Vasant, who is an amazing guy.
I got to know he along with his wife used to previously operate food truck and Grilled Poie was one of their speciality, however, due to covid they had to discontinue the food truck and later setup this cafe.
The food they prepare is just amazing in taste, they maintain good cleanliness and the pricing is quite affordable too. If you are around Benaulim village/beach road would certainly recommend checking out this cafe. Conveniently situated for a quick meal, itâs a hidden gem...
