But of a mixed bag, bit of a shame, but having visited De Candolim Deck Restaurant twice in the space of 3 days, I’ve had (food wise anyway) two radically different experiences.

Visit 1 - summer salad and satay chicken skewers. No words other than AMAZING, sum it up. The salad at 250INR was a meal in itself, in fact i think as colourful, crunchy salads go (topped with peanuts and croutons) it was the best salad I’ve ever had. The chicken satay was gorgeous too, lovely pieces of tender white meat and a fantastic pot of hot satay sauce.

Visit 2 - chicken Caesar salad and a side of fries. Oh dear, I really didn’t enjoy it. The Caesar was spoiled by limp lettuce, hard grey looking chicken pieces and a total overload of a sickly tasting sauce that looks like it had been squeezed out of a tube of processed stuff bought from a supermarket. Maybe not but I know a Caesar when I see (and taste) one and this was really not a good effort. I hate leaving food, but half of it was enough for me. Whilst the fries were ok, they looked great in fact, there were far too many of them and they were lukewarm.

The service was impeccable both times, no complaints there at all, the atmosphere good, considering my visits were for lunch.

Prices represent excellent value.

I will visit again to see if the hit and miss experiences to date, make for a 5 ⭐️ food review...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at De Candolim Deck Restaurant and Bar, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a lively ambiance with live music, which added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere.

One of the dishes I tried was the CHICKEN GARLIC NOODLES, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked and had a generous amount of flavorful chicken. The dish had just the right amount of garlic, giving it a nice kick without overpowering the other flavors. It was a satisfying and well-balanced meal.

I also had the PASTA ARABIATTA, and it was equally impressive. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the sauce had a nice spicy kick to it. The combination of tomatoes, garlic, and chili flakes created a rich and flavorful sauce that complemented the pasta perfectly. It was a simple yet satisfying dish.

The service at De Candolim Deck was decent. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They were prompt in taking our orders and delivering the food to our table.

Overall, my experience at De Candolim Deck was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal with a...

We stayed in Candolim for three nights, and every evening we found ourselves coming back here for food and drinks. While we tried other places, this one stood out and quickly became our favorite.

The atmosphere was fantastic—lively, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. The food was absolutely amazing: delicious, perfectly seasoned, and reasonably priced. Portions were generous, and the service was consistently excellent.

We especially loved the balance in the flavors—nothing was too spicy or too oily, making it ideal for everyone from kids to adults. The menu caters to a wide range of tastes, and we noticed a good mix of foreign tourists and locals enjoying themselves here. My husband enjoyed brandy with hot water enjoyed so much at the end of our each visit for his sore throat.

Even at 4 a.m., the place was bustling with energy, great music, and a vibrant crowd. It’s an experience we thoroughly enjoyed, and we highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Candolim. Whether you’re with family or friends, this...

I was surprised to see a mandatory 5% staff contribution added to the bill. In my opinion, such contributions should be entirely voluntary, allowing customers to decide based on their satisfaction with the service. When I inquired about this, the lady handling the bill mentioned it was stated in the menu and mandatory. This response left me shocked—after all, who goes through terms and conditions in the menu while dining? As for the restaurant, the ambience was delightful and created a welcoming atmosphere. However, the food was average—neither particularly good nor bad. One area that needs improvement is the service time, as the wait was quite long. Another significant concern was the attitude of the office staff. Their behavior came across as dismissive and gave the impression that we were being treated as though we were dining for free. Such unprofessional conduct is unacceptable and leaves a lasting negative impression.
