We the 4 friends have visited this resort in the goa trip from 11th to 14 November, 2021. This resort is a perfect place for the couples, friends for a short stay in North Goa. This resort is located in the heart of Candolim city in the waddy colony and the Candolim beach is just 200 meters away from the resort. The locality has its own serenity as like as the Candolim beach. Most of the happening places of North Goa like Baga beach, Calangute beach is within 5kms, you can easily hire scooty from nearby shops and hop on to these places. Anjuna beach is 15 kms , Arambol ashwem beach beach is 27 kms away from here. In the nearby localities and markets you can have your party feeds. Cafe Jazz (just opposite of Delfinos), Candolim deck (just near waddy colony) is good option where you can enjoy sumptuous foods, drooling drinks with mind freshening live music. All of these located very near to this resort. We have stayed in 2 rooms (C9, C12) of the Maria block of this resort, those are the terrace rooms. Every rooms are equipped with AC, 2 huge windows, television, 1 queen size bed, 1 mini fridge , attached washroom having western toilets & obviously with a nice terrace equipped with 2 chairs, 1 cemented sofa, I feel which is very perfect place for spending your quality times at night. The resort is also equipped with a pool(not heated) functional from 9AM to 8PM , one towel will be provided per room at the pool. Some of the cons of the resort I must highlight apart from all these are:
The swimming pool is not heated , which I feel is a major con at the time of winter evening.
They have a ridiculous check in and check out timings which are 1 PM and 11 AM respectively, and at the time of check out they will behave with you harshly if you exceed the time of 11 AM. We had some difficulties for booking our cab and due to some issues in our mobile we have informed the same in reception and asked for 12PM-12:30PM check out, but they had simply rejected the same over our face and they send their housekeeping boy in our room so that he can harp on us , nag on us to vacate the room as early as possible. Which is really unacceptable from such a 3-4 star renowned resort of Goa.
Kindly beware from your valuable assets in rooms, In our rooms we have lost some of our petty things like nail cutters and all. If those can be missed from missed I really feel people staying here must keep a close look on thier belongings in rooms.
Every possible things which are complementary in other such resorts and hotel are chargeable here. You will get only 1 one litre water bottle per day here , if you ask for any more water apart from that you will be charged 30 + GST for the same, even when have asked for ice cubes, we were charged 60 + GST on the same.
If such things can be removed from this resort it will be really good stay in North Goa near...
Read moreCasablanca Beach Resort is a good option for budget-minded travelers who prioritize location and friendly service over luxurious amenities. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons:
Pros:
Excellent Location: The resort is just a short walk (around 2-3 minutes) from Candolim Beach. You can easily hear the waves crashing at night! Candolim itself is a good base for exploring North Goa's beaches and nightlife. Friendly Staff: Guests consistently praise the staff at Casablanca for being helpful, courteous, and attentive. Clean and Comfortable Rooms: The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with balconies and air conditioning. Good Value for Money: Casablanca offers a comfortable stay at a reasonable price point, especially considering its proximity to the beach. Breakfast Included: The breakfast buffet is decent with both continental and Indian options. Swimming Pool: There's a clean and well-maintained pool on-site for a refreshing dip. Cons:
Limited Amenities: Compared to higher-end resorts, Casablanca has fewer amenities. There's a pool and a restaurant, but not much else. Basic Rooms: While clean and comfortable, the rooms are on the simple side. Don't expect luxury furnishings or finishes. Limited Dining Options: The on-site restaurant may have a limited menu, and there aren't many dining options within the immediate vicinity. However, Candolim has a good selection of restaurants within a short walk or taxi ride. Overall:
Casablanca Beach Resort is a solid choice for travelers who want a relaxing and affordable stay in Candolim. The location is unbeatable, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are comfortable. However, if you're looking for a luxurious resort experience with extensive amenities, you might want to...
Read moreMy experience at the 3rd class hotel Casablanca was extremely disappointing
From the moment I arrived, I was met with unprofessional and unwelcoming staff. The hotel itself was in a state of disrepair, with outdated and shabby furnishings that gave off a feeling of neglect.
The room I was assigned to was small and cramped, with a musty odor that permeated the air. The bed was uncomfortable and the linens appeared old and worn.
In addition to the poor accommodations, the hotel's amenities were severely lacking. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected. The so-called "complimentary breakfast" was a minimal spread of stale bread and unappetizing options. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was questionable, with dirty corridors and public areas that had clearly not been well-maintained.
Furthermore, the hotel's location was less than desirable, situated in a noisy and congested part of the city. This made it difficult to get a good night's sleep and added to the overall negative experience.
The customer service was also a major letdown. The staff was unresponsive to complaints and lacked the willingness to address any issues that arose during my stay. Overall, the lack of professionalism and care from the hotel's staff only added to the frustration of the entire experience.
In conclusion, I would not recommend the 3rd class hotel Casablanca to anyone. The subpar accommodations, lack of amenities, and poor customer service made for an unpleasant and unsatisfactory stay. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodations...
