Located on the candolim beach road. The locality is really nice as there are 24/7 outlets nearby along with several other fine wine & dine options. The interior goes with the bohemian vibes this place creates. A bit conjusted seating area but with ample number of tables. The food is great. Wide variety of options available. It is a multi-cusin resturant with options of local goan cusin as well. They have Tandoori, they have chinese, they have continental and many more options on the menu. We ate few goan dishes, few continental dishes and a tandoori platter. Everything tastes awesome. The service is nice too although they are a bit understaffed so especially on weekends and holidays, the service tends to get a bit slow but this also gives you the opportunity to enjoy the ambience and live music more. Yes they have a live band playing a mix of different genre of music. The live music is icing on the cake. Makes the time spent there much more enjoyable. We were really disappointed with the shacks and joints of bagha & calangute so we were extra cautious in picking a place for our dinner the next night. We almost went to checkout every resturant in the vecinity and zeroed out on this one simply because of the ambiance, kind of crowd, music, menu & affordability. It turned out to be a very wise decision. A must...
Read moreOrdered butter chicken and received a orangish cream base with chicken pieces. No salt. No flavour at all.
I raised my concern to the waiter when he noticed I was not enjoying the food he asked me if all is ok. I shared my experience and told him this isn't butter chicken and it's totally bland and i have to add the salt and pepper to my orange rice. Yuck!!! He walked off to his superior and that was it. No further discussion. No compensation. No exchange for a fresh new revamped dish or not mention that it will not be charged on the bill. (No mention if we can change the order to something else) Not that I was expecting this but as a courtesy since I am a paying guest for the food I have ordered, I am paying the price mentioned on the menu but I need the product ordered. As good as going to the market to ask for grapes and coming back with a watermelon. It is not at all ethical. And worst part is the waiters ask you if all is ok and then do not bother to fix things. Never the less. My first and last time at cafe jazz.
I have no hard feelings but this is a bitter...
Read moreJust like the soothing music genre, this open-air cafe is the perfect spot to catch your breath after a long night of partying at the beach shacks. Open till wee hours in the morning, Cafe Jazz is well-stocked with drinks, food and visually appealing decor. With lovely lanterns hanging over the tables and fairy lights wrapped around the trees surrounding it, this cafe is an absolute winner with its calming atmosphere and pretty ambience.
The only dish I tried was their Garden Fresh Vegetarian Pizza (I'm unsure of the name) which was sinfully cheesy and a fantastic treat for my cheese-loving tastebuds. The preparation time was a bit much but was certainly worth the wait. Loaded with toppings of bell peppers, black olives, onions and corn, this dish is an absolute must have!
More than anything, this charming little place is a refreshing escape from the chaotic lives that we lead. If you're in Goa and want to make the most of it then make sure you stop at this cosy...
