Down to Dough — Restaurant in Goa

Me and my friends went here on a whim, I was craving some good coffee and baked items and decided to search for a bakery in our vicinity. We were on a trip to Goa and staying in a nearby Airbnb.

This popped up on Google maps with fairly good ratings and amazing pictures of what they had on offer.

And I am glad we made the decision to visit this place. We had a variety of pies and croissants over here, along with their coffee. They were all extraordinary. I think it was their almond croissant that stood out the most, along with their apple and strawberry pies. The preparations are done by a very experienced baker, who uses her traditional, authentic European family recipes to bake amazing items. You will notice this in the taste right from the first bite.

The store is also in a very cute nook, right at the fork of the road. You will not regret visiting here, do give it a try! The people running the place are also very friendly and welcoming. We had a great experience here.

I would have given this darling place 5 stars, had the freshly-baked hemp bread I bought here on a Thursday afternoon not got fungus and green mold literally overnight (by Saturday, actually). Luckily I had kept a few pieces in the freezer, but almost 3/4th of the yummy loaf disintegrated between Friday night and Saturday morning. I’m going to go back and try it one more time - because it was so delicious on Thursday and Friday - but this time, it’s going to go straight...
