I've been to Hideaway only a handful of times, within the last two years of living here in Goa. While the music could be just a tad softer, I really love the mix of tracks that they have; keeping pepped the fusion emergence that I associate Goa with. I even found myself Shazam-ing a few of the phenomenal tracks playing. I mean, if you're into a low-fi musical diversity, it is definitely worth a visit. With all the beats and loudness, I find myself alternating my conversations with meditative parallels... Some wonders are rather difficult to ignore, even with great friends for company.
Apart from the fabulous food (Aglio Oglio is a must try), both the ambience and the staff, have made me feel safe. And that, for me, is the most important thing in this world, as I've mentioned in other reviews too. There is one staff member, Lokesh, that left a rather memorable impression. His smile and care for stellar service, is what prompted this review (he didn't ask).
As someone that has seen a fragile sense of self, within outdoor places that I'm not accustomed to having frequently visited; Lokesh made me feel warm and safe, in a place that I have rarely ventured into. This establishment is extremely lucky to have him on their team. It's not easy to make an oft anxious soul like myself, feel comfortable enough to want to return. If not for the naturistic beautiful scenery, solely the service and food, would definitely merit a high recommendation. Hideaway is a treasure I feel lucky to have found. Thank you...
Read moreStaying right opposite the restaurant, it was imperative that we visited for a meal and we chose to have lunch at this amazing eatery.
The ambience was on point with club music adding to the calm vibe. The staff was perfect with their hospitality, special mention to Sammy being wonderful and taking good care of us. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Sunday afternoon which ensured that the staff paid good attention in making our experience the best.
Their cocktails are to die for.
We ordered the whiskey based cocktail called PRIMAVERA and I have to say that it was hands-down the best cocktail I’ve ever had. I never thought that whiskey with tiramisu would be such a lethal combination. Definitely must-try.
Even AFTERGLOW which was a gin-based cocktail was super refreshing, thanks to the kafir lime leaves added.
Our culinary experience was elevated definitely because of the lip smacking BUTTER GARLIC CALAMARI. The sun-dried tomatoes coupled extremely well with the chilli flakes and butter to make my first squid experience worthwhile. The POI was an appropriate addition to the dish and served as the perfect bread, so much so that we ordered another portion of it.

The name Hideaway is very apt, as the place is virtually hidden from sight. You can drive right past it without becoming aware of its existence as there is no signage outside at all. The only hint of its existence is the guard sitting outside on a chair.
It is only when you step inside that you see the bar and the tables. The place has a very contemporary design, with hanging lights over the tables. The overall atmosphere is good and the music is good, playing at just the right volume and not too loud.
The service is warm and friendly. We were very well looked after by Lokesh and Anish. We went by their recommendations for light bites and ordered Rechado Fish Sticks, Hummus and Mushrooms, Crusted Brie Cheese accompanied by Mango Basil Lemonade, Smoked Gin & Tea and a beer.
Each of the food items was extremely well prepared and we loved the food. The Smoked Gin & Tea was an amazing cocktail.
Overall a great experience and I have no hesitation in...
