Read the entire review to know the 2 star rating. This is a very peaceful area which isn't popular with Indians. However 95% customers on the 3-4 shacks here are non Indians. On Joel's , when we visited, we were the only Indians and didn't seem welcomed at all. The moment we took the shack, the serving boy came, put the menu on the table and said "khana khana padega" and walked off. As Indians in an Indian city on an Indian shack, we felt pretty embarrassed. Infact none of the foreigners were told the same : multiple guys came and went but we didn't see same happening with them. As Indians , if you do come here, people show them the money first and then sit.

Chicken lollipop were oily. Chicken club sandwich was better. In strong beer they only had kingfisher pint and the menu card didnt have rates for strong liquor.

We sat for 90 mins, generated a bill of 1000 and left.

Peaceful beach but okish food and bad attitude...

A beautiful shack with some very tasty food and drinks. Excellent service and a lot of customers, the place is almost full.

(Had been to Magzika but they didn't seem to want business as they only looked for white skin.)

While at Joel's they told me clearly, you either pay for the deck beds or do a billing of 1500. I being a local did not feel I was treated different. Sadly the Indian tourist has created a bad name for themselves by trying to use the deck beds and not pay for it, or spend a minimum amount.

Asked for the lobster, but guess it's a pre-order item only.

Overall a great experience, peaceful shack, good food. Changing room, toilet, wash and shower all complementary.

Very reasonable pricing as well. Thanks for a great beach experience. Wishing you...

Visiting from the UK.

We are here last night. The owner was brilliant, didn't try and over sell us in fact he did the opposite and suggested sharing some dishes as they were large. The price is also very good. For 5 of us (3 main meals, 3 naan and an appetiser and bottled drinks, was only about 1200 rupees). Staff are also very attentive and friendly. It's a nice location, unfortunately we visited during heavy rain so the shack was surrounded by plastic sheeting to keep the rain out but on another day it would have been a nice view.

As it turned out we weren't as hungry as we thought so didn't eat much but they packed the leftovers up for us...
