Visited this place for lunch. First off the view and ambience is absolutely divine. The food however was a massive let down. Ordered just starters couldn't progress to mains because the starters were disappointing. Sumac grilled beef was nothing special. The beef was too tough and the sauce was rechado mixed with some spice wasn't great at all. Lebanese lamb skewers the lamb wasn't fresh and the same sauce that was with the Sumac beef was given, a bit lazy with experimenting with sauces if you ask me. Basil prawns weren't as bad as the other two but it was too salty. Little less on the strong basil flavour would definitely make the dish great. The local bakri given with it was good but it was soggy and salty this could be rectified if served separate this would give the guest an option to dip it in the garlic butter sauce according to their preference. The highlight was the desert. I ordered the carrot cake with cream cheese, it was moist and the taste was exquisite. The only reason I gave 2 stars is cause the service was alright, the view was amazing and the desert was absolutely...
Read moreL'atelier, is the seaside restaurant of anahata resort located on Ashwem beach, Goa.
It has some outdoor beach beds, services of which can be availed for a minimum order guarantee of around 2k for 2 beach beds for non-guests.
Food and Drinks Beer and cold drinks were nice and chilled. However, the drinks that were to be made from scratch were not good at all.
Service Service was bad. Had to remind them multiple times to get the order. In evening, when we were invited inside to order and enjoy the love music......we had to wait more than an hour for a pizza; in a relatively free restaurant.
Live music The singer was all fun and games but wasn't singing live..... was lip syncing to a pre- recorded song.
Location Location is too good. Unobstructed views of the clean beach with an upscale crowd.
Somewhat recommended for the comfort of well maintained beach beds and complimentary use of clean washroom, right next to the Ashwem beach.
Tip - To not get disappointed order only the packaged and...
Read moreFood was exquisite, my husband and I had no expectations really but we were in for a great dining experience. We had a full course meal, we tried the Basil Prawns and Asian Mushrooms as appetizers and the Goan Prawn Curry and Eggplant Scallops as a main course and finally the Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert. All are highly recommended dishes made by the Chef Soufian who makes sure that each dish comes out not just tasting very good but also very well presented.
The staff was really friendly and professional. We were lucky to have Malven taking care of our order who helped us pick what to eat and everything was on point and timely.
The ambiance is very nice with tables directly overlooking the beach, and good music playing in the background.
Go for it if you’re up for some good food and a different vibe to Goa.
And if you’re hesitant about the prices, believe me it worth...
