Mimi's Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Goa

An awesome gem we just chanced upon. We were 2 families with 3 kids and ordered the Tenderloin Steak, a couple of Chicken Pastas in Pesto sauce, Grilled fish, Hummus Trio, Veg Pizza, Prawns in butter garlic sauce, some Fries and a bunch of drinks including 4 Long Island Iced Teas. Finished off with a Chocolate Brownie. Every dish was lip smacking good! The decor is simple and nice. They have kept some nice story books that people can read while waiting for their orders… our kids loved them. The ambience was exceptional with live music. The selection of songs was amazing and the singers managed to get audience to sing along in chorus. We stayed back after our dinner and ordered a few more drinks just to enjoy the music and the ambience. Not sure whether they’ve got live music everyday or is it just specific days in the week. The service was very good given the place was full. It could have just been that we were one of the early ones in for the dinner. Shout out to Bilal who not only served us fast but also made a few good suggestions.

The total bill came at 7K which I thought was very reasonable for the quantity, quality of food and the ambience.

Planning to visit it again before...

The Moroccan Shakshuka was tasty and had the most unique presentation of any shakshuka I've ever ordered! And both the outdoor and indoor seating are really nice.

Also every Thursday night they have Afro Latin dancing which I wish I could try next time!

My only complaint is the server. He seemed to have poor awareness even though it was not busy (just two tables occupied). No one there to greet me when I walked in. I had to go to counter to get menu and seat myself. When I tried to order, I made eye contact with the server while he was helping another table, but he never ended up coming to me once he was done with them. And when I was ready to get the bill, again I couldn't seem to be able to get his attention. Another table noticed me try to get his attention and they had to direct him to me. I'm not sure what I did to this fellow 😅 He seemed to be serving the other two...

Highly recommend!!! Especially if you want to take your pet with you. We went with our dog for dinner. The owner and staff were super helpful and kind. They suggested we sit inside peacefully as our dog was agitated due to fireworks on the road. They even gave a water bowl. These little things make a lot of difference and helped our dog to settle down. Music was not loud at all. Even then they obliged to reduce the volume of the speakers next to our seating. The staff know how to keep distance from the dog while taking the order or serving food. Totally 5 star rated service!

The food was amazing!. Good portions, tasty and well presented in nice plates and bowls! And prices are reasonable.

This place is WAY ABOVE many hyped up places in north Goa. A must visit for anyone.
