Had been here on a Saturday evening for dinner with family and friends and must say we had a blast at O'Coqueiro. You have Nezz belting out some fabulous retro tunes which creates the right kind of vibe after a hectic work week. The food at Coqueiro continues to surprise. Hardcore Goans that we are for starters we tried the goan sausage chilly fry which tasted great, not too spicy but just right.Next was the fish fingers which were fried a luscious golden brown, crisp on the outside soft on the inside, kismur an all time favourite of our group was delicious with the symphony of the dried shrimps,coconut all mixed in proportion, and surprisingly the foreign guests we had also took a liking to it considering it is an acquired taste.We then dug into chicken steak which was perfectly done with the skin crispy with the marinade doing full justice to the avian :-) ,i must make a mention of the cocktails the apple coconut milk and strawberry crush sure pleased the little ones at our table along with the blue lagoon. Although a staple at home we still are avid fans of the prawn curry rice at Coquiero, there is something that gives one that cozy feeling in the curry that the place has on offer. A must try. The ambience is classy with walls displayed with Goan Vintage photographs and paintings. A wonderful place for fine dine experience.
