Ocean Pirate's Cafe — Restaurant in Goa

Terrible experience, overpriced food, worse service. Best avoided.

Styled as a shabby shack but a simple calamari starter they charge ₹1200!!!!! No prices mentioned on the menu either. Prawn curry was full of ladyfinger (!!) along with a few tiny prawns. They do not even serve water. When asked for a glass of water and not bottled water, they waiter just says - nahi hai.

The place seems to be set up to fleece unsuspecting customers trying to grab a bite to eat.

True to the name, they're truly pirates. Don't fall into the trap like we did!

Edit: The owner responds asking to compare their quantity with other restaurants. I'm a regular visitor to Goa since 20+ yrs and have practically been to nearly every small and big restaurant in N. Goa. Not to mention I'm from a coastal city myself and am aware of how much a squid dish should cost at a Goan shack. My review was based on exactly that experience. Very bed experience today.they made things very costly.we order drink and food from them cheese garlic naan .came with very less off cheese or u can say nothing.ask for cold drink with cost in the market 40 inr (500ml).they charge us 200 inr. I ask u have cold drink which guy said they have but it's 200 inr.same price he told us about canned cold drink. Before that I didn't check in the menu.In menu price show 100 inr. No mention about how much ML price it is.they are checking which each other y person didn't change the price in the menu.so befor orde anything please check the menu because charge what ever they want.i said called the manager first he didn't want to come.but lady who was the counter told him come there is complete.he came he said u have to pay because my person serve you and told you about the price.so pay.

The worst tourist trap ever. We went there in a group of 6 people. The place was very dirty with a lot of sand. We ordered the sea food platter and sizzler and after waiting for an hour, we were highly disappointed to see that the quantity of food in seafood platter was equivalent to McD kids menu for which we paid 3000.The sizzler also was very bland with just rice, tiki and some veggies. Sea food platter only had a small fish, some squids, prawns rice. The sea food platter shouldn’t be worth more than 500. Definitively don’t go here if you looking for a fun and chill time with good...
