This restaurant is at Benaulim beach. The restaurant has some stiff competition with options like Johncy's and SouthernDeck around it. However, the restaurant has its own unique identity and reputation maintained, as the owner of this restaurant is Masterchef goa winner. She along-side her daughter look after the restaurant and they do an amazing job at the same.

The restaurant provides a great beach view, and you can either side down-stairs or on 1st floor, on both places you get an amazing beachview to enjoy your food, they provide sheesha/hukkahs as well. They are known for their sea-food and specifically their Goan thali. We have visited this during night time for dinner and unfortunately they did not have Thali during dinner time. They serve Thali usually during the afternoon time only and its quite their bestsellers on the menu.

We ended up ordering Mackarel fish fry, Chicken Xacuti, Chicken Cafreal and Steamed rice. Everything was amazing in taste and having it while at beach at night time with breeze around it surely added to our experience.

The top floor provides a good view but the service can be slow as we experienced that first hand when we initially went on first floor, the waiter went to get the menu but then got occupied in other stuff and conversation with some other customers and forgot about us completely. So we ended up going downstairs where the service was great and the waiters were attentive.

Overall it was a great experience eating here, would be certainly visiting here next time I'm in Benaulim to try out their Goan Thali. Surely would recommend...

It was a sweltering evening and we were at an event nearby. After a few hours we got very hungry and thirsty and came across Pedro's on our formidable drive home. The "live" music brought us in. Plus the word of mouth recommendations we then remembered.

The atmosphere was buzzing, the music good and eclectic as were the patrons. We picked a vacant table closest to the beach and the railing, under a fan.

We ordered the rava masala mussels and beers and fresh-lime- sodas. Everything was delivered quickly. It disappeared even more quickly than they had arrived.

We requested another round of the same. The mussels arrived after a reminder and the drinks after several. But it didn't seem to matter as the music shifted to a different gear. A couple had even taken to the dance floor. Larger groups seemed to arrive as smaller parties left.

We even made friends with those sitting at the next table, as we chatted about the weather, the events we had attended (different ones), the music and the food. It seemed like the kitchen got backed up with the large groups too.

But we were done and were now looking forward to an easier drive back home, about 40 minutes away.

The food was awesome, a little heavy on the salt, but having sweated all day, we probably needed it.

I look forward to visiting Pedro's again very soon, but in the daytime, to really soak in the entire Pedro's experience!

...and...

We were drawn to this place thanks to the posts on Insta that my wife picked up. Came here for a very late lunch. Place was emptying out so we go a place of our choice overlooking the beach with some lovely cool sea breeze blowing in. We were hungry and on inquiring were told that we would be served in 15-20 min. We settled for Pork Amsol, Beef Steak Medium in Wine, and a Chonak Rice Thali. While we waited we nursed our fresh lime sodas and cokes. In 12 minutes, our Amsol was on the table, in another 3 minutes the Beef Steak and the Thali would be served whenever we requested it. We got down to work after the customary photo session. The steak was good. Not the best I have had in Goa, but good. The veggies well prepared, the mash done nicely if a little too sweet. The amsol was a different preparation from what we are used to but was well prepared and very tasty. The thali was amazing. Tantalizing tastes of bhende (okra), crab, fish cutlet, para (fried pickled sting ray fish), kismur, prawn curry, pickles, salad, kokum water, jelebi, and off course two generous pieces of Chonak (Giant Sea Perch) fried with Masala served with a local variety of boiled red rice. That Thali was wiped clean. The service guy (I forgot to note down his name and by today, I have forgotten it) was attentive, kind and pleasant. Perpetual, the owner, came in to chat with us. The only thing going for O Pedro in Benaulim is its beautiful location—right on the beach. We visited in June 2025 on a rainy evening with two young kids, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Ambience: We were greeted by a dirty floor with used tissues scattered around—not a great first impression. Given the weather and lack of nearby alternatives, we decided to stay and order. What we ordered: French Fries – Over-fried and dry. Butter Garlic Calamari – Severely overcooked and rubbery; completely inedible. Pork Vindaloo – The gravy was reasonably tasty, but it was mostly pork fat with barely any meat. Bombil Fry – More rawa than fish. Poie – Absolutely stale and dry, despite being assured it was fresh. We ordered this specifically for the kids. Service: When we asked the waiter to clear the untouched calamari, instead of empathizing or acknowledging the feedback, we were told, “This is how butter garlic calamari is.” That response summed up the service attitude. Overall: O Pedro has a great spot on the beach but unfortunately, poor food quality and indifferent service let it down badly. Not an experience we’d want to repeat.

Just chanced upon it as we were looking for a place to appease our hunger after flying down from Bangalore and an hour's journey in Francisco Colasso's ancient Maruti Alto. It was an amusing experience especially as it was quite a lot of space for two people and his message ringing tone on his cellphone was definitely unforgettable. ( the sound of a bottle cap popped open and falling on the floor with a reverberating clang) We had some steamed rice with a strongly tomato sauce flavored fish gravy with some black cocum??? (black tamarind) and slit green chillies to give it added flavour. But we enjoyed chilling on the ancient iron chairs and iron tables that were steadied with paper stuffing under the legs. Apparently, it dates back to 1969...so, obviously the ancient old look and feel. The captain was pleasant and accommodating...a middle-aged Punjabi maybe (I presume) in quaintky beautiful Bernaulim Beach. There was a board advertising water sports of which only a ferry ride was functional. We chilled ou a bit post lunch with some good caramel custard for dessert.( the only one available at that time besides ice cream) and returned to our cosy getaway.
