Must Go Place in Panjim, Goa
Petisco is just plain simple FABULOUS š. If you are in Panjim, Goa, you must go there. If you are in North Goa,you should go there. If you are in South Goa,you should go there. If you are not in Goa, you should go to Goa and go there.
So, I went there knowing that it's an award winning restaurant and with high expectations; yet I was pleasantly surprised.
Decor and lighting Very minimal, just about right. Lighting is done very strategically......good for both taking the food pictures and for seeing what you are eating.
Music During my visit I heard no music. Not did I miss listening to it. It felt right.
Wheelchair Accessibility Not wheelchair accessible....both the parking and restaurant. I generally give a star less if the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible but I've gone ahead and given this restaurant 5 stars......I hope the Dhuri brothers take note and make a provision for our specially abled friends.
Service Sanad, attended to us and was extremely polite, attentive and knowledgeable. He made sure that we understood what we were eating. The order to table time for the starters, drinks and dessert was less than 10 mins. However, the main course took around 15 mins.
Drinks I had ordered the Ultimate G&T and the Old Tom's G&T. Ultimate G&T was too good. Old Tom's G&T with strawberries was good as well but not as good as the former.
Food Portion sizes are just right. Very competitively priced. Portion size allows patrons to have a 3 course meal and yet not feel bloated and full as well.
I had roasted beetroot and poached pear, assorted mushrooms, herb and nut crusted pollenta and barre de chocolat. Everything was too good especially the pollenta and the poached pears.
Keep it up Team Petisco. Manifesting my...

The squid literally melted it wasn't chewy or gummy. Whch showed how fresh the food was. Also the potato bebinca (yea dats wat I call it) š was yummy with that gravy on the bottom and the chicken.. do net get me started with the chicken it wasš¤š¤muahhhhhš. The rice was yum doh the potato chips on the top were unnecessary but added a crunchy dimension to the buttery dish. It was amazing right from the presentation till the taste tests. And last but not the least. The BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE.. doh we were lik ehh how different is it gonna be from regular cheesecakes. It was. It was perfect the sweetness was very balanced not too sweet JUST PERFECTION! and that sauce.. if I wasn't in a restaurant I'd lick the whole plate clean-- (uh who said that?š³). It was a delightful experience. Also I love the fact their washrooms had sanitary pads tooššwhich is soo thoughtful of them. Love when women are understood and acknowledged. ā¤ļø. Definitely worth a try. Must visit doh the menu seems a bit uk.. small (considering I'm a non fish eater- squids, prawns , crabs are not fish bdw they technically Cephalopods and crustaceans ). So yea if u love fish they have great options. Oh and vegetarians it's a feast for yall. š¤ Even that ghas pus (basically whole green salad lik dish) doh sad looking in the beginning was the yummiest !!. I mean if someone cooked lik this for me if get in shape in no timešā¤ļø. They can make Eben the saddest of vegetables shine. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have a new gastrobar in town, right at the heart of our very own Panjim city near the Muncipal gardens called @petiscogoa The place has that vibe of upscale and modern restaurant with their dark-wood bar and lounge like dining area. And the food here just complimented this wonderful ambience perfectly.
We had their Chimichuri chicken which had warm sweet potato salad to complement it's flavours. We combined this with the side of chilly butter sauted mushrooms which were perfectly caramalized and tender. For the mains we opted for two of their specialities, the "Prawn A La Plancha" which were succulent and dressed with garlic and chilly olive oil and floating in that seafood bisque containing pickled bimbli. It was served with a favourite of all goenkars a butter Poie to clean that plate clean of all that wonderful flavour. The other speciality we tried was their 'Roast chicken' which was perfectly crispy outside and juicy chicken inside cooked the way we love it served with lyonnaise potato and fried okra. And not to forget their extensive bar menu is one for the drink lovers. We tried their 'smoked gin' which contained a roasted rosemary in it and 'Penicillin' which was smoked whiskey based cocktail.
Overall a wonderful experience and with the place equipped with a basement pub area which can handle a live band, Ponjekars are in for a real treat as we never really got a good live music...
