Cafe Ritz Restaurant and Bar, located in Panaji, Goa, is a delightful culinary destination that offers a memorable dining experience. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this establishment and I must say, it left a lasting impression.
Upon entering the cafe, I was immediately struck by its warm and inviting ambiance. The interior decor was tastefully done, with a perfect blend of contemporary and rustic elements. The seating arrangements were comfortable and provided a relaxed atmosphere for patrons to enjoy their meals.
The menu at Cafe Ritz is a true delight for food enthusiasts. It offers a diverse range of culinary options, including Goan, Indian, and international dishes. Whether you're a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian, there are ample choices to cater to everyone's preferences. The food was not only visually appealing but also bursting with flavors. Each dish was expertly prepared using fresh and high-quality ingredients, and the presentation was impressive.
One of the standout aspects of my dining experience at Cafe Ritz was the impeccable service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and cater to any special dietary requirements. The promptness of the service added to the overall satisfaction of the visit.
Another notable feature of Cafe Ritz is its well-stocked bar. The bar menu offers an extensive selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, and a variety of spirits. The bartenders were skilled and crafted delicious drinks that perfectly complemented the meal.
In terms of value for money, Cafe Ritz provides a reasonably priced dining experience given the quality of the food and service. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that you leave the restaurant fully satisfied.

Read moreThis small restaurant can get a bit crowded at lunchtime, but the food is excellent. The thalis are simple, with portions that are lighter than expected. I tried the Chicken Thali, Fish Thalis, Fried Fish, Chicken Sukkha, and several other dishes. The Chicken Xacuti is especially good, with the right amount of oil.
A note for diners: thalis are also available for dinner, and card payments are accepted. The café is very clean, and the food is both delicious and reasonably priced. It’s even better than its sister branch, Ritz Classic, and is a must-visit.
The phrase "Expect the Unexpected" perfectly fits this place. At first glance, the ambiance might make it seem like an average eatery, but don’t be fooled—no five-star hotel can match its taste. I was skeptical at first, but I was blown away by the food, especially the Fish Thali, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Located in the heart of Panjim, this hidden gem is the original Ritz café, and it's the best spot for seafood. We had a seafood feast, ordering Mackrel Racheado, Rava-fried Mussels, Crab Sukha, and Pav. The portions were generous, and the prices were much lower than other restaurants in Goa. Highly recommended, though it’s worth noting that seating is limited, and it’s a bar...
Read moreI had a chance to visit Ritz cafe on 29th of March 2024. I regret to say that our experience at Cafe Ritz was highly disappointing. Despite the hype surrounding it, the reality fell far short of expectations. Firstly, the waiting time is not less than 30 minutes, and the queuing process seemed disorganized, lacking any semblance of a first-come-first-serve system.
Regarding the food, it was a letdown. The menu advertised a Tali with various items, but some were unavailable even at 2 pm. The prawn curry served was unsatisfactory, and the fish fry resembled thin paper. The starter, prawn fry, was strangely sweet and inedible. Avoid the chicken starters at all costs; they tasted downright terrible.
The service was abysmal. The staff showed no hospitality or concern for our experience. An order mix-up was met with indifference, with no acknowledgment of their mistake.
Overall, Cafe Ritz is not worth the wait, hype, or money. Save yourself the disappointment and choose another...
