Not sure if anyone will read this review or not. First, all the positive reviews are paid second, do not go by its ambiance, the restaurant is not cheap, for 3 small smelly pieces of fish they charged 750. If you are still reading this review and even if you ordered then immediately leave the food, make the payment, and walk away. I ate here so writing this review to save you. Not sure if after eating you will read this or before reading it. If you are reading this before eating at Punjabi kitchen then I have saved you else immediately visit the hospital and do not wait for the symptoms. if you will eat then like me your whole trip you will be in hospital due to food poisoning. If you will not make the payment then they will beat you publically and forget that anyone is going to help you. Let me tell you my pain - We 3 families(6 adults + 4 kids) came to goa for 4 days from Bangalore. So almost on average total expense was 2.5 lacs. 4 people ate nonveg including my kid and after that, by 8 PM food poising affected my husband, then me and then my husband's friend's wife, and then my kid. Still, I am sitting in a village-like hospital and my kid is admitted there. For the 4 days everyone is running like anything, forget about the goa trip. I wish I could force those maniac people to eat their rotten cooked food by themselves until they die. See what kind of shameless people are they, they are saying they are best in Calangute and the entire north Goa comes to their restaurant for their authentic food. Unfortunately, we 3 families were there between 1 pm - 3:30 pm and not a single customer came. We said that their food was awful and they offered to come in the evening because their tea is famous in the...

This restaurant undoubtedly beats taste of many shacks available on Calangute beach. After eating food here, I concluded that I can come to this restaurant instead of shacks as this is budget friendly plus has good quantity and taste.
We ordered plane rotis, veg xacuti, chicken chafrel and pineapple raita. One of the softest tandoori rotis I have ever eaten! The taste of eg xacuti was nice. Chicken chafrel was awesome and was served in good quantity. Pineapple raita had just the right sweetness. It was good.
Even the service was quick. Waiter came on time to ask us for more orders on time. We were never left waiting for food.
Totally impressed by the restaurant. This is a must try if you want to save money but get awesome food!
Also, one more thing I loved is, they provide discount to our defense forces personnel of 15 percent upon producing I card. This goes for both serving and retired, army, air force and navy.

Read moreHighly overrated eatery. I went there for breakfast with a group and ordered normal idli sambhar without trying to experiment much. The white chutney served with idli was cold as ice and we complained the same. Waiter took the chutney, put it in a microwave and served it back to us. And this time I noticed the chutney started stinking as rotten. Clearly the serving was not fresh. When I argued the same the manager came up with the excuse that it was prepared fresh but as it is humid in Goa they kept the chutney and sambhar in fridge. I was left speechless and started laughing maniacally 😂😂. I decided to leave the place immediately and asked for the bill. They charged us 1300 for 5 plates of idli and 3 watermelon juice. Which was unnecessarily high. I paid only 600 out of courtesy, later on i thought even 600 was way too much for that food. But after a lot of back and forth I came out of that place paying only 600. Moral of the story, do not go by...
