The Chocolate Room, Calangute — Restaurant in Goa

So i ordered chocolate ecstasy and this was very cheap presentation. As you can see the wafy on top i was very excited to first grab a bite of this wafy and to my surprise the taste was very bland.

But then the real story begins....

The quality of the liquid chocolate was so cheap and it felt like its very old. Even the pastry inside ( i don't know how they fit that pastry inside the glass, seems very unhygienic) was like 4-5 days old it seems.

We escalated this to the manager but he started showing his arrogance. Instead of apologising or showing any concern to his only customer in the shop, he was like i do not know what you gonna do but we donot have any option to change and he left. He said they don't keep old stuff as this shop is too crowded in the evening and we clear our stock every day. LOL

This was so unexpected. I have been to chocolate room before in my hometown and have had the best experience. This was a nightmare. We paid and left.

And..... I left my mask and specs in the shop and i realised that within a min but instead of them coming behind me to give my belongings. They kept it.

Very ill mannered. Very unprofessional. Too sad.

DO NOT EVER VISIT...

If you are a choclaote lover and are craving sweet then this is the place for you. However the staff here is not as friendly and do not talk to you in a friendly manner. 1st thing that I want to highlight is that the AC here was not on, not sure if this place even has an air conditioning hence the place was very warm. We ordered a mojito which was very fresh and a cold coffee which was again very nice. The pasta we ordered was a chicken spicy pasta which was ok and we expected Red sauce but sadly the sauce was missing and the pasta was very dry, the taste however was ok. We also ordered a chicken salad and if you check the photo the salad was covered with mayo and tandoori sauce, when we raised a complaint for the same, the man behind the counter was like.. this is how we prepare salad and we cant do anything about it. That was very rude and that is not how you treat your customers. We left the whole salad and came back.

I would rate it 2 stars only for the awesome beverage...

If you are looking for a good coffee/chocolate cafe, this one is for you. The chocolate room will not disappoint you.

Signature cold coffee 5/5: Absolutely smashed it. A little on the sweeter side, but that's how I like it!

Paneer Sandwich 5/5: Paneer was soft and yummy, you will love the sandwich along with a nice cup of coffee or chocolate shake, you won't realise how quickly time can pass by.

Music 4/5: Awesome cafe music, a 90's kid would love the tunes.

Cost 3/5: It is slightly on the expensive side and probably can reduce the price down, but the quality which they are offering is justifiable to a point.

service 4/5: Staff is polite and helpful. They will help you out with the things you want to order and suggest you according to your needs. Food may take some time to arrive, but please note that they are making it fresh. Hence, it may take moe than usual to serve your order, dont come if...
