I stayed in the Sernabatim area for two months and visited this restaurant many times for eat-in and take-away ("parcel" to the locals). The food is good and the place is always busy with locals, usually a good sign. The waiting staff are attentive and efficient. After my many visits I would say that the guys on the tandoori station are masterful, 10 out of 10, good flavour, consistently well cooked without drying the food out. Well done!
I also tried Dhal, kolhapuri, manchurian, seczhuan and recheado flavoured dishes from the kitchen. Their dhal and Kolhapuri dishes were very good but they are clearly using the same, overly sweet, base sauce for the other dishes and after several tastings I mentioned this to the head chef, I hope he is proud enough of his work to pay attention.
Otherwise this is an ok to eat (there are better places nearby). My only other criticism is that the music is a bit hectic ("clubby") and too loud at times, not conducive to a chilled-out dining experience. I did, on more than one occassion, see couples (tourists) sit down and then leave without ordering. However, the music volume seemed to bother me more than the other (local) diners, I guess you'll have to decide for yourself. So, a bit of a mixed bag, great tandoori, a skilful kitchen being a tiny bit lazy in my view. They could be the best restaurant in the area but for the faults mentioned, there is one that hits the mark for the Goan dining experience, I'm not going to mention their name here, that...

It’s a restaurant. However seems VERY popular for take away and delivery drivers. There coming and going all the time. Which is understandable
We both had soup. Different ones. But both were a bit to spicy for us. Not the restaurants fault. Just not to our pallet. Although we both had about half of what we were given
My better half had veg biriani. Believe me when I tell you, she knows a good one when she has one. She said it was the best ever!!! Unfortunately there was miles to much and she had to leave loads. But definitely better to have to much than not enough
I had half a tandoori chicken and chips. Best tandoori chicken ever. I kid you not!! Chips were good too
We also had 5 small bottles of Budweiser the total bill came to a little over £10.
Not the Ritz or the Cafe Royal. However if you want a full tummy and fresh perfectly cooked food I personally would...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem near my workplace that I’ve passed by countless times — it’s always packed, and now I completely understand why. Finally decided to give it a try and was blown away. The food is excellent — we ordered Chicken Crispy, Chicken Dry Fry, and Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice. Every dish was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and came in generous portions, especially for the very reasonable prices. Easily one of the best budget-friendly Chinese spots in the area.
What stood out even more was the service. Lalit, who seemed to be handling everything from taking orders to serving and billing, did an outstanding job — efficient, polite, and super quick. It’s rare to see that kind of dedication and multitasking done so well. Parking is a bit limited (a few bikes and 2-3 cars max), but it’s worth the visit. Highly recommended for anyone craving great Chinese food without...
