Rudy's Golden Mermaid Beach Shack — Restaurant in Goa

Rudy's is a must visit place if you are in Goa. The food was amazing and we had a really good time there. We reached Rudy's almost at their closing time and still they were willing to get us the table and be at our service till we enjoyed to the fullest P.S we were a total of 10 people. The hospitality is simply excellent something that you won't even find in the top notch restaurants. Would like to highlight One of the instances that made this trip memorable to me and will speak for itself about how amazing this place is. It is the genuineness of the owner. We had tried to make the payment via UPI and due to server issue the payment was stuck. At this instance, Rudy was kind enough to let us make the payment at our ease. We tried again once we got back to the hotel and unfortunately the payment got deducted but the transaction was not completed. We paid Rudy the next day in cash and two days later the UPI payment also got completed. Rudy promptly transferred the excess money received, which is something you don't come across everyday. Thank you Rudy for the exceptional service, food and for being an amazing person!! Will love to visit you the next time we...

Set further back from the Sea, slightly isolated from other Shacks but there is nothing to attract "passers by". ......?????.....😞

It's easy to get there & perfectly situated to attract custom BUT does not.....????...🕵🕵🕵🕵

The Menu (beer & food) is well overpriced.... 😠😠

The owner Rudy is a genuine, cheerful guy but is happier talking to locals/family OR friends.....

When looking further into their contributions many of these same Reviewers have given Mirimar, Vagator, Anjuna Beaches & even McDonalds (5👍) as well.....

Most of the photos are taken in the evening & there are big speakers by the Bar. Maybe that's how this place survives...... .......I'm not SHERLOCK HOLMES so help me out...

Shack on Calangute beach with great ambiance and terrific food. The owner, Joe Rodrigues is friendly and helpful with his reccomendations not just for the menu at Rudy's but also other places to try in Goa for authentic Goan cuisine. The staff was also very helpful and a shoutout to Majid! They also set up a bonfire in the evenings when the wind kicks in and it can get a little nippy. Would highly recommend the sea food, beef xacuti, barbeque and cocktails. Everything we tried on the menu was of a consistent and high quality. Overall, we were in Goa for 6 nights and spent 5 of those at Rudy's Golden Mermaid Beach Shack for dinner, drinks and generally hanging out. Highly...
