SAMUDRA MANTHAN — Restaurant in Goa

Never visit this restaurant if you are in palolem. I made the first mistake when I entered there and there was no one in the restaurant. Next I ordered a chicken and a prawns starter along with a beer, a mocktail and chicken fried rice. The starters were worst. You cannot understand which was chicken and which was prawn. The beer they gave was an expired one. Later while payment, when I asked if they accept Google pay, the manager replied that yes they do accept but as the settlement time is over so I need to pay in cash. To which when I asked what settlement he was talking about, he was giving some out of world answers. Finally when I asked him do you pay tax, he got angry.... Lol He started talking about loses and all. Arre Bhai if you are not capable of running a restaurant then close it and do something else. Don't sell expired beers and stale food to compensate...

I don’t know why people give high ratings to this place. I’ve heard of fake reviews, I think this is the case with this place. The place was empty when I entered. They claim working, but it was some housekeeping going on. I ordered Thali and roti. Rice in thali wasn’t freshly cooked, and it was cold. roti also wasn’t fresh and they just warmed up everything. The place is not enjoyable at all, just filling the stomach maybe as there are no that many options around. But walk another 5min and you’ll find many...

I visited this place in South Goa for lunch. The ambience is really very good. There were not many people when we visited but there was a charm in the silence. The food quantity and quality was really very good. We opted for Non-Veg dish and taste was awesome. The washroom was well maintained and clean.
