Serena by the Sea — Restaurant in Goa

This is to reply to the owner of the property for reviews of Hareesh and Jyoti’s. Dear Owner - Reviews from my friends was to let the owner of the property know of the attitude of the bouncer. So, the photos were taken in front of a room which was unoccupied. The reason for this claim is because the room’s doors were open and housekeeping was going on. The security guard (as claimed by a person) saw us sitting on the chairs and didn’t tell us anything. No one, including the housekeeping staff, security personnel or the bouncer, gave us a slightest of hints that there was any issue with us posing for a pictures. If the room was occupied, we would have been more than sensible to not to invade someone’s privacy. In fact, the adjacent room was vacated just at the time we were present, implying that it was the time of typical check outs. With a pretext that no staff gave us slightest of hint that what was done was not allowed, to add on, there were no signs at any place, which provoked the bouncer to shoo us away. While leaving when we expressed disconcern to the security guard and when we asked to speak to manager, the bouncer followed and screamed at us that he was the property’s manager and asked us to leave. When the security guard humbly said to the bouncer that these people want to go to the restaurant, bouncer said, “unhe nikalo yahaan se”. With all that happened, there was no altercation or protest from us. Please feel free to check your cctv footage. Again, there’s in no way to defame the property, it is for property owners’ cognisance of the behaviour or the bouncer. If owner is unwilling to take an honest feedback, our purpose...

We had an incredible experience at SERENA BY THE SEA! On our first day in Goa, we headed out early to visit Butterfly and Honeymoon Beach for dolphin sightings, with the help of a contact from Mr. Asim, the owner. Thanks to his recommendation, our morning was filled with beautiful views and smooth sailing!

After our morning adventures, we arrived at SERENA BY THE SEA around 9:30 am, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. Right by the beach with stunning ocean views, the ambiance was incredibly relaxing. The shack offers both veg and non-veg options, and we loved the chilled vibe and delicious food, making it easy to spend the whole day there until sunset.

The place wasn’t crowded during the day, allowing us to unwind with chilled beer, tasty food, and the board game CATAN, which added a lot of fun. Mr. Asim also offered us a cottage to change and freshen up, free of charge, which was a kind gesture that made our experience even more comfortable. Kids enjoyed the cozy cottage for an afternoon nap, and we were even treated to live music with a guitar that Mr. Asim made available!

The hospitality at SERENA BY THE SEA was top-notch, and the serene atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for our Goa trip. If you're looking for a peaceful, laid-back day on the beach with great food and warm hospitality, I highly recommend this spot. Thank you to Mr. Asim and the team for making our day...

Love this place, also if you don't have the puri bhaji and mint tea here for breakfast you haven't really eaten breakfast here. It is the best!! I could sit here for hours and stare into the blue sea. You will meet creative and really interesting folk from the most diverse backgrounds here, don't hesitate to strike up a conversation! This is definitely a niche shack, with a lot of fun chill vibes you only find in the south of Goa and they maintain that ethos really well here.

Vinnie and Asim are super warm hosts and they really make the environment so welcoming, infact it feels like home for me now.

Serena by the sea has great staff, great food, very affordable rates, a shower on the beach if you need it post swim, it's also located on one of the best beaches in Goa, but not only that, it has the best view of the best part of Agonda beach. The live artists give very soulful performances and last but certainly not the least -- they do an INCREDIBLY WELL CURATED PRIVATE ROMANTIC DINNER FOR TWO UNDER THE STARS. They will make it very special for you, just ask and you will be amazed at the way it all comes together seamlessly with such beautiful bohemian touches!

Also, if you are an animal lover, there are super friendly dogs at this shack haven that will steal your heart :) All in all, a must visit in South Goa especially if you want some beach time in Agonda,...
