Let me start off with what happened as my friends and I entered Kopi Desa. We weren't greeted or even cared about. We had to ask multiple times to get a table. The place was filled with quite a few number of tourists and my group of friends was all Indian. While there were smiles and cheers from the staff towards the tourists, we were given eye rolls and sighs. The food we ordered was delicious but we weren't even offered plates, tissues or cutlery to have it until we asked for it! We ordered a pizza which we waited for to arrive for about an hour but we ended up getting a bill without the pizza. When asked about it, the staff answered that there was some confusion and the order wasn't placed. Shockingly, when we asked about the status of the pizza we ordered after thirty minutes of waiting, we were told that it was being made when it wasn't really the case. The few dishes we ate were good, but the coordination between the staff and their attitude towards us was subpar. Overall, I'd say that this place needs better coordination among their staff members and more attention to the tables. We as customers do not need to stand up from our table and call out the available staff to get orders placed. All this would have been averted if one staff member was serving us instead of 3-4 members doing it together. I respect the service industry a lot so I wasn't rude to them and instead just left without leaving a tip. I've been to a lot of other restobars over the duration of my trip and this was the only place that...
Read moreI've been coming to Agonda for years and was so happy when I found Kopi Desa. Every chance I get I try to go there for the delicious Sunday roasts and cocktails.
We had work clients down from Mumbai recently and wanted to take them somewhere with a bit of a wow factor.
We went on a Sunday, as the choices of roast are phenomenal. This time I had the beef which was so tender. The ribs my husband had literally fell off the bone and the mushroom Wellington my client ordered was to die for; even as a meat eater I may go for that next time! My client's wife had the ravioli with sage butter and I have to admit I had major food envy. The pasta was silky smooth and the sage butter had just the right amount of nuttiness to complement the sage flavours in the butter. The only thing I feel can give a negative comment about is the fact that I had no room for one of the delicious desserts! Although I did have a spoonful of my husband's mango cheesecake and it was incredible.. Next time I will have to save room for dessert!
Thank you Team Kopi for making us feel super welcome and providing a friendly and professional space in which to entertain our clients. They were really impressed and are now talking about taking a holiday in Agonda with...
Read moreWe frequented Kopi a lot when we were there this season. Fabulous place right on Agonda beach road. Kopi's secret weapon is Inma, who manages the bar/restaurant. No matter tn time of day, you will find her with a smile and a hug, welcoming all customers into kopi. She is warm, welcoming, vivacious, and extremely professional. She will go out of her way to answer questions about the menu, but will help with any question Agonda related if she can. Now......the food. OMG, simply the best. From the everyday menu, to the Sunday roast (that is booked out every week), to the new rotisserie chicken, the chefs produce fantastic food every time, with very generous portions. There are smaller plates available for snacks if wanted. You can also get take out rotisserie chicken, wood fired pizza, and most other dishes on the menu. We also did this, and the food was the same quality. The boys on the bar make delicious cocktails, (don't forget to ask for a Lemony Snicket), all served with a smile and some cheeky humour. Everyone leaves feeling valued and and happy. Please don't go to Agonda or surrounding area without paying a visit. This is Agondas jewel...
