Silent Waves — Restaurant in Goa

me and my husband were supposed to stay at this property . We were 2 couples who were travelling and we had two different bookings one from 19/05/22 to 22/05/2022 for me and the other couple had a booking from 20/05/22 to 23/05/22.||At the time of booking we had reiterated that the couple with booking from 19/05 to 22/05 will be cheking in at 1:30 am owing to a late flight. They had anyways agreed because we had agreed to pay for the full day. However when we reached at 2:00 am on the 20/05 they simply said they had not received any booking . The person who was communicating with us was absolutely rude. We were getting drenched in rain and our cab had to leave for his next pick up, stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. He kept insisting they don't have any booking. After a big argument where he finally checked his system and said he has one booking and began yelling that why is this booking done by someone esle and not by the same person who is staying and because of this he has to deal with two names. He however denied absolutely that my friends also had a booking from 20/05 to 22/05. He said my friends had cancelled the booking without informing me. Even after he confirmed we had one booking he did not give us our alloted room and put us in an alternative property which was also owned by them. We had to pay separately for this room because frankly we were fed up. So there we were drenched to the core , no electricity back up in the room , a bed full of insects at 2:30 am. Next morning we get a call from the owner/manager miss Dipti who tells us she could see that we have 2 booking in the system and asked us when were we checking in. I absolutely lost it and walked out of the hotel and made fresg bookings. The most Horrible experience ever. No word of apology was given to us either by booking.com nor from the hotel. There are many shacks, in this pristine secluded beach strip of Agonda. ||||Silent wave ; is our most favourite shack. As it was very comfortable, the seating was very conducive to sitting and gazing at the sea for long hours; ||||The coffee here is super, arabica roast; as per us is one of most favourite places for capuccino and the iced mocha too. ||||The food is also very good ; it is the most reasonable compare to all the other shacks around. Good portions too. Also very tasty ; the salt and spices were just right for us. ||||They played nice music for us on request ; very very co-operating. Lalit specifically was very kind, he would very sweetly ask us would you like your morning hot coffee or evening cold one :). He would make it for us with our stevia sugar free ; and my wife wanted egg white burji, he made one for us. He went out of the way to ensure we got more than what we wanted. ||||Their chicken Xacuti was excellent, chicken steak, eggs and more. We were off sea food; so didn’t try it, but I am sure they are good, as they had their flavour right. ||||In the night time, they have lovely lights and candles it’s very quaint.
