The restaurant offers food at a lower price point compared to other nearby restaurants. However, based on our experience, the quality of food is just average and not worth visiting for. We ordered aloo paratha, veg thali, and seafood sizzlers.
The aloo paratha was made using Maida instead of wheat flour and the taste was also not good.
The veg thali had only daal and rice that were good, whereas the other vegetables were not even palatable.
The seafood sizzlers were the worst among all items we ordered. The fries were soggy, the rice was too oily, and the seafood that came with the sizzler (prawns, squid, and kingfish) was dry, rubbery, and bland in taste. Additionally, it appeared that they had served cold food on a hot plate in the name of a sizzler. All items on the sizzler were cold, not even warm, let alone being hot. The quantity of all food items served was satisfactory, but the quality seemed questionable.
The ambiance of the restaurant was not up to the mark and did not meet our expectations. However, we did not expect much as the restaurant offered food at a lower price point than others in the area. The staff were humble, but it took quite some time for the food to be served after we had placed our order. This wait time felt even longer because of the dull ambiance.
Overall, our experience at this restaurant was highly disappointing. Despite being influenced by numerous positive reviews, we could not find any positives to highlight other than the lower prices of the food. Therefore, we do not recommend this restaurant to either Indians...
Read moreWe had dinner here. We ordered surmai thali, chicken cafrial chapati and pomfret thali. As I have eaten every type of fish. I just went and ordered pomfret thali, but when the dish arrived by eating just the first bite of fish I got to know that it's not the pomfret, it was halwa. In every hotel in India when we say pomfret it's white pomfret by default. But they served black pomfret which taste different and it's soft. When I called the waiter he said sorry sir today we don't have pomfret so we served this, but I really felt I was cheated. The taste of chicken cafrial chapati was good in taste. And surmai thali too. But the marination of fish was below average as it had low salt and less masala which didn't enhance the flavor of fish. Fish were fresh. The only thing is that I felt cheated. One more thing do check the bill before paying. Costing is also on the...
Read moreThis restaurant is located right on the main street market in Palolem. I'm not a big fan of fish, but I really enjoyed the Pomfret tawa masala fry. However, there were some problems with the service. The server didn't suggest anything or tell us about the menu. We asked for tawa roti/chapati without checking the menu, and the server didn't mention that they didn't have chapati. Instead, they brought 4 tandoori roti. We ordered sweet and salt fresh lime soda, but they put a whole sugar instead of sugar syrup, and it didn't mix well.
They also didn't tell us the weight or price of the fish. When they served it, we realized it was too much for two people, and we had to eat more than we wanted just because they wanted to sell more These places don't always consider what the guests need, so be careful when ordering. The taste of the food was...
