Taste of India Goa — Restaurant in Goa

My experience was more with the staff rather than the actual food. We were travelling through Candolim when one of our cars starting to make some weird noises. We stopped outside this restaurant to check what's wrong with our car so that if there is an issue, we can call the mechanic then and there. While my friend was checking the car, some waiters and some guy in a red uniform from the restaurant came out and asked us to move the car. On explaining to him what the issue was, he was impatient and started using a bossy tone around us. We told him we'll remove the car in 2 minutes as we needed to check the car once before we leave from that place. He wasn't ready to listen and started verbally abusing us. We tried to calm him down but he wasn't ready to listen to us. When we tried to leave, he picked up a stone and started banging our cars with it and hurling abuses. On confronting him he starter abusing us more and threatened to kill us if we don't leave. We left that place with fear and as being tourists, I hope nobody has to ever go through it again. I couldn't catch the name of the person but please beware of the staff of this restaurant and steer clear if possible....

Utterly dissapointed by the service here. We went here after a very hard day to ask if they could deliver food to our hotel which was literally 5mins away from there. They said they dont deliver. The 'owner' or 'manager' whoever he was responded rudely tonour query. Fair enough we placed an order for a take away. While we were waiting, just in front of us we saw two orders going out for delivery. Infact we saw the waiter who took our order on a two wheeler delivering an order while we were walking back to our hotel. Did I mention he was lost and looking for the place he was supposed to deliver to. While we thought this was enough to really annoy us. The food was packed in such poor packing. That we had to juggle on our way back to the hotel so that it doesn't spill and how do you really even try to cradel hot food and try to save it from spilling. While the food was good the disappointment and service we got simply out weighted all of it. I dont think anyone can enjoy the food. If the over all experience is not a pleasant one. A BIG...
