Molecule-the word itself makes you curious enough to explore this new cafe. Being a science student, I always loved the idea of presenting food in a molecular way- be it presentation wise or ambiance wise! So I was here to explore this cafe with the concept of molecular gastronomy. These days molecular art of food is trending and this cafe is totally worth the hype. The place is intelligently designed with lovely decor and cosy corners. I am sure a lot of time and hard work must have been put into designing such a brilliant theme. Menu was extensive with Continental, Italian and North Indian delights. The food presentation was interesting and impressive. This aibar has got my extra brownie points just because of this molecular presentation of food which kept me delighted throughout. Every item- be it a drink or food was presented beautifully. Service was good and staff was courteous and knowledgeable regarding the food items. I tried the following items-

  1. Dragon smoke caramel popcorn- These caramel coated popcorns were served in a pineapple shaped container with infused nitrogen. I loved this caramel delight.
  2. Mezze thali- I highly recommend this Mezze thali- such a colorful platter consisting of Beet hummus, peri peri hummus, cilantro hummus, quinoa falafel, sambosik and pita which is a must try for all vegetarians. All dips were freshly made and each dip had a different unique flavor. Pita bread was soft and falafel was tasty.
  3. Farm to table pizza- As I am an avid lover of pizza, I had to order this! It was a thin crust pizza which was perfectly baked with toppings of onion, mushroom ,tomato and cheese. Every bite of it was heavenly delight. RECOMMENDED
  4. Chili garlic dimsums- Loved the papery thin covering of these dimsums with finely minced filling. Special mention about the sauces/dips– all 3 of them have distinct yet delectable flavors-spicy, sweet, tangy, hot- that make every bite of dimsum a novelty.
  5. Penne arrabiata- this pasta creates an unforgettable medley of herby flavours on your palate. The best part was that ingredients used were of premium quality and gave freshness to all the dishes.
  6. Thai basil hot stone bowl- I was amazed the way it was made right in front of my eyes and then served with deliciousness-Spices were on point and the stickiness of the rice gave this dish a droolworthy bite!
  7. Lababdaar paneer combo- all time fav combo which was drool worthy. So overall my experience at Molecule was spectacular. It brought both food and innovation in one platform. I am definitely visiting this place again to try more vegetarian delights. Follow my food journey on instagram-...

We reached there around 12:30pm for lunch. The restaurant was empty for the entire duration until we were there up to 2pm. Considering the winter season, there was no centralized heating arrangement also. The decor and ambience was no doubt good though. Coming to the food, and being my very first experience after listening to all the hype and praise the restaurant has on social media, i am sorry to say that food was not worth at all either for the taste or the price. To begin with, for starters we ordered- Avocado dahi poori, paneer tikka twoways and the mezze platter: except for some dips in the mezze platter none of them were upto the mark, the avocado dahi poori had only chilled dahi with only trace of avocado present, totally not worth the hyped price they charged, the paneer tikka was so so, have tasted much yummmy tikkas at other palces places in Delhi, lastly the mezze platter- it was priced for Rs. 795 or something like that, for which they served one pita bread for the entire platter with 5-6 thinly lavash and one quarter piece of another pita which was so chewy that we didnt have it, only the dips were good, the platter missed tabouleh which an imp part of mezze and the pickled veggies also not meditarrean type. Moreover, they gave spring roll and grilled paneer in mezze, didnt expect the chef to have that lil knowledge of whats a real mezze is? Coming to the main course, we ordered wild mushrooms with pad thai noodles, the mushrooms were good but the pad thai noodles were a big no no, it was all sticky like a lump to each other never had such lumpy pad thai noodles. Other item was butterfly prawns in black bean sauce, the sauce tasted good, but again prawns were chewy. It was really a bad experience for me to dine on such a spread and not expected such a service from Molecule. Its utmost important for any restaurant to maintain its food quality and taste standards which should suffice the price and instead of only focussing in decor and ambience, after all people come for your food as the utmost priority. Negative things/ things to improve - They levy 10% "service charges" which is kind of tip which is also written in entry gate while entering restaurant but many people don't know is it's "NOT MANDATORY". Even captain says at loud hamane mention Kia hain, hamare yaha service charge lete hain. Simply say say no to them. This restaurant is in India so must follow consumer rights act rules. Taxes are mandatory we are giving 18% of cgst sgst there is no need to give "service charge". If they say anything Google related news show them Delhi High court judgement. If they refuses take photos videos evidences and upload them on social media, consumer forum site. You need to improve these things if person want to pay service charges he can pay (it's like tip) and no restaurant in india can mandatory it just ask for a another bill.

Service - For almost 10 min i wave hands to captains, waiters to give me water no one listen. So finally I went to there ordering area where they are roaming from here and there and ask them to give me water. After that we get wrong item in main course. We also told captain that give main course and dessert at same time but they gave dessert after 30-45 min. Overall very slow service we went at 9:45 come back to 12 at night. Each order weather starter main course dessert take half to 1 hr to come.

Behaviour of staff- though they are cooperative but when I explained about service charges he denied when we explained the service we got them he generated new bill.

It's true ambience is good but dj is very noisy.

Food is average not excellent.

Price point of view - bit costly than surrounding restaurant.

Good things

When we reach there for 1st half hr there was a live music is there. 2.structure of restaurant is good for photography.

Overall not recommended to anyone this restaurant very poor service average food only ambiance is good. Only good...

Three stars only because support was poor. We were asked to start at the bar and then be allotted a table with an ETA of 20-30 mins. We ended up standing there for good 50 mins before I got really upset at the manager. Then he offered to put us on a make shift table in the waiting area, which was very insulting, post expressing this, he moved us to a brilliant table which was also available but god knows why not offered to us. Ambience - 5 stars, no doubt. Service by waiters - 5 stars. Our table was a bit on the side on the porch behind the bar, but it didn’t affect the waiters to give us any less attention. Food - 5 stars. We tried a lot of things there: 1. Chilli garlic Vegetable dumplings - AMAZING. I loved them. But you get only 5 pieces, which I feel is a rip off. 2. Spicy salmon sushi - you get 8 pieces. It was good too. 3. Chilli grilled fish - this was basa fish and wasn’t really spicy. It tasted meaty and bland. 4. Dessert - khoya stuffed rolls - I really loved them. I am a big fan of khoya sweets. Towards the end, it tasted like ghujiya. Drinks - I had three whiskey sours. They were good. Over priced but. Really overpriced. I’ve had better whiskey sours. Music- really good, suited the vibe of the place. There was live music after 10pm.
