The Worst bank I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Been a salary account holder since 2015. When i recently approached them for downgrading my account to savings so that i can continue to pay off my ongoing loan as well as the credit card which i have been actively using, their response was to make me wait for 1hour, then advised me to opt for the savings account with 50k minimum monthly deposit!. And when i decided to instead close my account, all they said was to transfer my balance. When asked what about my loan and card they had bo info to share and advise to do it online. Now they deactivated my internet banking and when i called up the customer support was then advised to go to the branch. The branch on the other hand advised to call yp the support online lol. As per them i should pay the loan through cheque and the card from other means. The audacity and the sheer stupidity of the entire entity that is Standard Chartered banking is a slap on ethics and customer service.
I'd rather close all my accounts and be done with this so called Bank. Beware, your money may be yours only if you beg for it as per Standard chartered
Highlights: Staff are more focused on "assisting" and buttering up new customers Made to wait for 1hr+ while they assisted a new client with Forex card while i was there waiting for 20mins Their first response? Can you go to your Home branch? No follow up nor proper help regarding why a person wants to downgrade or close the account. They did not mention that i will no longer have access to my net banking although i still have Loan and Credit Card active with them Went again today at 5:40 but they were closed which is my fault, but the way they treated, Global mess

Mrs. Sonali Goswami behaviour was so bad that it hurt me a lot. She was behaving like she is paying me to run my family or i am a slave and she is my master. No etiquette, no morality. I don't want to give any star, but there is no such option in Google that i can give minus credit to this lady or this branch. I remains so busy that have maximum visited this bank hardly 10 times in last 10 years, i never expected such a bad behaviour by such a high standard bank employee, useless.. useless.. totally useless.... Mrs.. Goswami , very egostic behaviour, behaved like she is owner of the bank and i am begger who visited her palace for begging. Such people doesn't deserve any good post in the educated good society. Heartening, very much.... So sorry... Standard chartered bank , I don't know your compulsion to retain such employees in such an esteemed...

I require nothing more than an update of my contact details so I can access online banking with my new number and it has been five days since I have pursuing this. There is no reason why it should require multiple visits only to be met with blank stares and a vague assurance that it might get done soon. I have several payments that are pending and I can’t access upi or banking for the last week. It’s a huge inconvenience and the front desk seems clueless and expects me to make multiple visits in the hope that there will be some movement on this.
