Barbeque Nation — Restaurant in Gujarat

First the highlights, our servers were very good, Sangam and another guy kept checking on us and ensured they brought the starters as soon as requested. We were a mix party, vegetarians and non vegetarians. This is the third time I went there and every single time the non-vegetarians love their food but the vegetarian food is a bit bland and only items I truly liked this time were crunchy corn and veg kabab. All three times I felt it's a heaven for non vegetarians but not so much for vegetarians. But the service was top notch and excellent. Our servers kept asking if food was good and what they could do to make it better and even offered to customize which was really sweet of them. But of course they can only do so much. The number of items served for vegetarians is very less as compared to the price being charged. Earlier we also dined in "Mad over grills" which is purely vegetarian and so many more starters and main course items and it costed us 50% of the price of buffet at BBQ nation. Even the main course at BBQ had very few items and the paneer curry was bland and watery. Although the servers asked if they could customize but I don't think I wanted that kind of hassle. Second highlight was birthday celebration which they offer for free with a small birthday cake which is really nice as well. Third is the variety of desserts offered along with customization. Also no tips are expected despite the excellent service and even when we tried to offer in the past, the servers refused to take any which pleasantly surprised me. The music was very loud and annoying and wish they would just play some calm serene music at low volume or no music at all. Overall it was a good experience and everyone in our party enjoyed especially the kids so I guess it's okay to visit once in a while otherwise it's quite expensive for...

BBQ Nation.. Probably Vadodara's only place to go get something other than same repetitive menu that have long ago stopped titillating one:s taste buds. Well I would'nt blame the restauranteers but the general pallate of Gujarat. Getting out of fafda and khakhda bondage never been attempted here. One would find more choice of dishes than a shipwrecked sailor in lonely Island. So BBQ Nation is God sent in Vadodara.

But even than I wish Food God while being so benevolent was wee bit more imaginative.

The chicken chunks, the prawns on the grill were good but just that and nothing more. The only choice you can have is spicy, spicy level 2 and spicy level 3 ( if rolling the chicken on red peeper powder is what spicy means)

For Mocktail you have choice of synthetic tasting blue or red syrup in pure water. I would love to get real even with the person who invented the blue dye for drinks !

For main course you can eat your heart out with our so well proven chicken or mutton Biryani, same old killer of plain rice and daal makkhani. The Kerala style fish was only seemed to the new entrant here. It was good though.

It's been many times I have dined at this outlet, I love the food here. But honestly.. I really wish the restaurants and the customer s were somewhat more daring to experiment with food and combine various subtle tastes.

Overall barbeque nation serves very tasty food. Everyone can try at least once. Barbeque Nation is known for its live on-the-table grill and the scrumptious vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The usual buffet offered at the restaurant includes a three-course meal with starters, main course, and dessert.

The food compensates everything & bbq nation is the best for non-veg, family gatherings, corporate parties & for couple dinner.

Even Veg had been of great attraction, especially Paneer & mushrooms in bbq grill! Crispy fried corn & aloo Tikki in onion with cream had been crazy! With so many yummy starters we were almost full & so didn’t prefer much of the main course.

And then came the most awaited desserts!

1. Live jalebi with rabdi
2. Hot Gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream
3. Hot brownie with butterscotch ice cream.
4. So many varieties of kulfi
5. Tar cupcakes, pastries & cake and
6. freshly chopped fruits are perfect to end with the best meal!

The ambiance was pretty good. The staff had been extremely helpful & even the chef! The service was quite quick and warm.

They have a really nice variety of Mock tails. But the fact that by the time you drink a glass of that mock tail you’re half full and there’s absolutely no space for the main course after the elaborate starter menu. This is the sole reason I really think Prices at BBQ nation are quite high in terms of the food people...
