Cafe Native Stories — Restaurant in Gujarat

Today, on Sunday evening, our Buddies Group friends, decided to visit Cafe Native Story for a high tea session.

The ambience of the cafe was appealing, providing a cosy space for us to sit back and enjoy the evening. The menu offered a variety of dishes, and we tried a range of items, including Mirchi Wada, Methi Gota, Detox Cucumber Drink, Ice Tea, Cold Coffee, Masala Cha, Palak Patta Chaat, Bataka Pauva, and Mixed Bhajiya.

𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. The service was notably slow, and several dishes failed to meet expectations. The iced tea was a major disappointment, lacking the basic flavours one would expect. Similarly, the Methi Gota and Palak Patta Chaat were far from satisfactory in terms of taste and quality.

On a positive note, the Mirchi Wada, Bataka Pauva, and Mixed Bhajiya were delicious and well-prepared, which kept the meal from being a total miss. 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗵.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲. The way we were asked to leave was abrupt and impolite, which added to the overall disappointment.

However, I’d give Cafe Native Story a 2 out of 5 rating for the overall experience, and it’s unlikely we will return unless improvements are made, especially in terms of customer respect and food quality.

The decor is a blend of rustic and modern aesthetics, with warm lighting and comfortable seating that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The place is spacious, making it ideal for group hangouts as well as quiet solo time.

The menu offers a good mix of continental and Indian-inspired dishes, with a strong emphasis on fresh ingredients. Their coffee is rich and well-brewed, and the smoothies are refreshing. Some must-try items include their gourmet sandwiches, pasta, and signature desserts. Portions are decent, and the presentation is thoughtful.

The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Service is generally prompt, though it can get slightly delayed during peak hours.

Prices are reasonable for the quality and ambiance. It's a great place for casual meet-ups, working on a laptop, or simply unwinding with a good book and coffee.

Extremely disappointed experience for birthday celebration at Native stories cafe. Service was pathetic. Mr. Bhargav was so full on himself , he asked my child about what gifts we gave and remarked as was not enough for him. It was so unprofessional. They did turn off the lights at 9:00 and we were still standing. Toilet was unhygienic .They don’t arrange Tables for dinner.Heavy steel plates were very difficult for kids to handle while having dinner.By mistake one of my son’s friend’s cake piece fallen from plate Bhargavbhai made her clean that with tissue, very shameful for me what he did with my guest.My day of happiness turned into disaster. After we left , he sent me a video of litter that was spread by us - it was not much(he wants me to pay fine for plastic trash within his cafe).
