This hotel experience was the worse in my entire history of travel.||Once checked in, upon entering the room, it was very evident that the room was not cleaned. Bathroom was not in washed. Items in the bathroom were not in place. Hand wash was finished, not refilled. And don’t even get me started with the bed.||The bedsheet had stain all over it. I had to call reception to change the room. They showed me 3 rooms and every single room had bedsheets that had big stains on them and it was disgusting. They provided explanations that the bedsheets have been washed. And my point is, exactly, even after the bedsheet was washed, there are stains on it. This is a disgrace for a hotel||Since every bedsheet in every room was stained, they suggested that the bedsheets will be changed in front of me in my originally allocated room. This was even bigger mistake they did because they showed me 4 newly washed bedsheets and they were all stained as well. Once the bedsheet cover came off the bed, the mattress protector had a huge stain along with the mattress. When I asked to change the mattress protector they said that cannot be changed. To cut the long story short, after a lot of back and forth and frustration, I managed to get new sheets on the bed. But for a hotel, such as The Grand Bhagwati, it was extremely shocking for me to witness such hygiene issues. I wonder who is responsible for their hygiene checks from governance and license perspective. This should not be allowed to pass.||On the other hand, I had complete opposite experience with the cafe they had at the reception area. They staff were so friendly, willing to go out of your way to help you. Their hospitality showcased their passion for their customers and food. Cafe Piano was a delight in service and...
Read moreThe rating given shouldn't be misleading. Its totly value for money paid. But it doesn't live up to standards of a four-star hotel. Some of the photos will show you why. Detailed review should be helpful to many, so here it is. The entrance is grand, but when you walk in, it doesn't give you the vibe of grandeur. Staff at reception was particularly courteous. Do not book on the spot or from its website. You will find same deal in much better rates. Someone within the staff impressed upon me that since external agents like Makemytrip etc. promise a certain bookings, they are able to offer better rates than all other. Elevator looks absolutely sub-standard, not just by aesthetics but also by its technology. If you are in elevator, you won't even know what floor are you in because it doesn't read the same from inside. The cleanliness can be marked 3.5/5 Decided to book the most economical option, and I did get the quality accordingly. Maybe, just maybe same room if booked for higher rates may be offered a better aesthetic room. Wallpapers are well, scratched and marked in the room. Bathroom is decent. Amenities promised work fine, including Air conditioner. Bed and pillow is very comfortable. This may seem the most important factor for deciding for business crowd. For them, I would say it's value for money if you are just gonna drop in for some sleep, and need a good name and place to sleep in. They strictly don't allow unmarried couples or locals from Ahmedabad for stay.

A few days back I had the pleasure of dining at Mr. & Mrs. Somani Kitchen, located in the luxurious Grand Bhagwati, Ahmedabad. It was truly a remarkable experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion like a bachelor party.
The food was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening. To start, with Paan shots and I indulged in the Thai paneer and pepper grill in starter, which was an absolute delight. The paneer was cooked to perfection, and the combination of Thai spices and pepper created a burst of flavors that left me craving more. Alongside the starter, I savored the desi hot and sour soup, which was a perfect balance of spice and tanginess, warming me up for the main course.
For the main course, I opted for the paneer mirch khurchan with makhani naan. The paneer was cooked to perfection, and the spicy mirch khurchan sauce complemented it beautifully. The makhani naan was the perfect accompaniment, with its soft texture and rich, buttery flavor.
To end the evening, I treated myself to a refreshing mocktail - the natural kiwi with mojito. The drink was a perfect blend of sweet and tangy kiwi flavors with the fizziness of a mojito. It was the perfect way to cleanse my palate and wrap up an exceptional dining experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend Mr. & Mrs. Somani Kitchen to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The food, ambiance, and service were all top-notch, making it a dining destination that I will definitely be...
