One of the new food hubs, Amrapali mall hosts a lot of brilliant food joints. The Blue oven is just another addition to the long list. A tiny yet cozy outlet. The interiors are pretty normal yet attractive with limited seating. You realise on visiting the outlet that the name has been derived from the giant blue colored wood fire oven that the restaurant uses to bake those yummy Pizzas. On the food front we tried Tear and Share garlic bread. A unique form of loaf which you find at few places in Ahmedabad. We tried the Cheese as well as Masala one. I personally liked the masala one. Cheese one could have been more cheesy. Tried the cucumber chili mocktail. Though it tasted more like detox water, we enjoyed the taste. One of the places which use regular grated cheese on its nachos, well that did not seem to go to well. In the mains we tried Angry Pizza, Greek Pizza and the Four cheese pizza. While the Four cheese one was a disappointment, the Angry pizza and Greek pizza surely made up for it. Pizza was literally too soft to dissolve in your mouth. One must surely try out the Greek pizza. Finally we tried the most popular desserts at this place. Nutella cheese cake - A heaven for chocolate and specially Nutella lovers. Probably the best cheese cakes in town you will get. Tiramisu cheese cake surely was an underdog which to our view was equally tasty. Service was pretty quick and the staff seemed to be well trained. Will surely keep on visiting the place for those...
Read moreThe Blue Oven at Bodakdev delivers an experience that blends authenticity with a relaxed, cozy vibe. I visited recently, and the overall experience was delightful.
The place serves authentic Italian-style pizza, and you can truly feel the difference — right from the dough to the perfectly balanced toppings. The 'make your own pizza' option is a fun and interactive touch that makes the meal even more special.
✨ Taste: Every bite feels fresh and flavorful. Their use of real Italian herbs, wood-fired base, and minimal oil makes the food both tasty and light.
👨🍳 Service: Staff is polite, quick, and well-informed. They guide you well while customizing pizzas or picking from the menu.
💰 Price: Reasonable for the quality and ambiance — around ₹600 for two. Not super cheap, but worth every rupee.
🍝 Variety: From classic Margherita to Smoky Chicken or Pepperoni, their menu covers wide Italian bases — pastas, garlic breads, salads, and even refreshing beverages like Mint Mojito.
✔️ Authenticity: This isn't your regular Indo-Italian fusion pizza. The crust, the cheese, and the sauces truly stand out as authentic Italian.
A must-visit for pizza lovers who want something beyond the usual...
Read moreYou can easily call this place "The blue Heaven" instead of Oven. I know it sounds cheesy but hey, that's what they serve.
I honestly had the best Mozzarella and Parmesan at this place.
Service was phenomenal, they have this ring system where you just have to press a button and they will assist you, and it was necessary as this place has floors.
Let's talk food - The Skinny Margherita has amazing balance of Marinara sauce, Mozzarella and basil leaves. Tear & Share garlic bread was a little bland but you can season it yourself a bit. 4 cheese pizza was just okay-ish. What won my heart was Penne Primavera and Avocado on Toast. Rich smooth texture of Avocado with crispy toast was wonderful and cherry tomato was literally cherry on top.
But Ambience is the reason why I'll visit again. You can enjoy your food and have a private conversation with your date or family. Soft lightning feels very cozy and makes you want to stay longer, although during peak hours it does get crowded a bit, for best first experience, visit by 7PM-8PM.
Overall, I loved this place and I shall continue to try other items on menu as they seems to amaze me every time.
