In the past 10-odd years, many 'Chai' outlets have cropped up in Indian cities, specially in the north and the west - Chaayos, Chai Wai, Tea Villa, are a few of the better known chains of Western India.
Chai Wai is one such outlet. This one, situated in the University road area of Ahmedabad, is particilarly cosy. It had two levels - ground and upper - though the upper level has a low ceiling height, so please mind your heads :-)
The chai fare they serve here is very Indian in flavour which is a plus. Available variants are adrak-pudina, kesar-elaichi, cinnamon chai among others. They also serve some light snacks to accompany your beverage - from favorites such as upma, poha, maska bun, Khakhra, khari to different strokes such as burgers, bhajipav, sandwiches. In addition they also offer black tea, iced tea, cold coffees and hot coffees- making sure almost everyone will find something to their liking here.
Also, all the chais are available in your favorite kulhads as well as in the ubiquitous kitli-wala cutting chai, thus enhancing the chai experience with a touch of nostalgia.
All in all, a good place to hang out with friends. Most of their guests are college going students and working...

I recently visited Creative Tea, located opposite the BRTS Corridor on Gulbai Tekra Road. While the taste of their tea is good, there's plenty of room for improvement.
Positives: Prime location Good tea taste
Areas for Improvement: LED board not working properly Ambiance and infrastructure need upgrading Restructuring to match the latest trends would be beneficial
I hope the management takes these suggestions seriously and works on revamping the place. Until then, it's an average experience.

You can chill here for 45 minutes per order as they say by sticking little notice on their walls which is ridiculous if you ask me. Why would you tell your customers who are paying for the service just to sit for a particular time period per order. That's pathetic. Otherwise the tea they serve taste good and snacks...
