The food was alright. Nothing too off the charts but decent. For a coffee though, the cafe needs a lot of work. My main concern was the service. Really pathetic service. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting for a server to bring us the Menu card or even water. I had to constantly keep signaling for things. Even after the menu they never came to take orders I had to keep calling. Water arrived 30 minutes after we were there that too after asking again. The cutlery wasn’t filled, the tissues were two at maximum. Additionally the server didn’t greet neither acknowledged with a smile. We got our small dog to the cafe and because the seats were cushiony, we asked the server if he could just take away the removable cushion so my dog can have a chair to himself. You call yourself a pet friendly cafe, we aren’t asking too much when you advertise yourself as one and if you can provide a chair. The server understood the request and pretended to go grab a chair and never bought one. He could have said a simple no, saying its not possible the dog has to sit on the floor we would have been fine with it. An alternative was also to bring an outdoor chair but neither he went the extra mile not even came back to say he couldn’t do. He just vanished and never returned with anything and ignored the request altogether. For bill we had to keep asking and no one ever came to check if we paid up or if he can collect the bill wallet. We walked upto the cash register and showed him the payment. He didn’t care. Didn’t say thank you, didn’t smile didn’t even look away from the computer. Seriously pathetic behaviour pathetic staff. I dont know how is this running with such...
Read moreI wish I could rate this above 5. I would gladly do it. First of all, I have to say that Regina (one of the owner of the cafe) is super kind and an amazing human being. We were taking our furry baby for a cafe outing and so we called mad house beforehand to be sure that it was okay. They were gladly invited us and welcomed my canine baby with love. The place is quaint and really peaceful. It has limited seating but I think that's the beauty of it. Since it was a lazy Sunday afternoon, we have a couple of tables to select from.
Coming to food, we went post lunch so didn't order much but whatever we ordered was amazingly fulfilling and delicious. We ordered banana milkshake, hazelnut cold coffee and vegetarian crotue Monsieur sandwich. The milkshake was without sugar and definitely a healthy option without feeling like you were forcing yourself to be healthy. The coffee was perfectly balanced with bitterness of coffee and sweetness of hazelnut. But the sandwich was show stopper. It was a combination of spinach, cheese and mushrooms. My aversion to spinach goes back to my childhood but this is one of the rare times when I don't even realize I am eating spinach and in fact relishing it.
What really makes me appreciate the place is the vibe and behaviour of the cafe owners. When we went they were celebrating birthday of one of their staff members and they distributed cake to all the guests sitting in the cafe. Also they provided two boiled eggs on special request for my furry child.
I cannot stop recommending this place anymore and they definitely have got a new fan, follower...
Read morePathetic would be a word which suit this place. Pathetic staff, pathetic management. Thank god that we left before the food came or else it would had been a nightmare. Went there with my toddler and had the worst experience ever, have been to there old location which was beautiful but now would never recommend or even think of going there again. For give a menu in my hand it took them 10 mins to take order it was 18 mins more and after that order was not recieved for 15 mins. When I aksed the staff that you know how long I have been sitting here waiting he just replied it what it is and don't tell me what do you can tell the manager, he then went and told the manager about this and I could see that she was looking at me then just went inside the kitchen. I stood up and left! There were others facing the same issue people were eating and In the middle they were getting stuff by their own like spoons and knife I usually never right anything bad about someone's business but this was a very poor...
