Worst Restaurant Ever – A Total Scam! If I could give this place zero stars, I would! This is hands down the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Let me break down my horrible experience so that no one else makes the mistake of stepping into this disaster of a place.
Food Quality – Absolutely Inedible! The food here is beyond disgusting. I wouldn't even call it food—it’s a complete insult to taste buds! Even roadside street vendors serve 100 times better food than this overpriced garbage. Every dish was stale, tasteless, and looked like it had been prepared days ago. If you're looking for food poisoning, this is the perfect place!
Service – What Service? The staff is unprofessional, rude, and completely clueless about their own menu. Ask them a question, and they’ll just stare at you blankly or give some nonsense answer. Instead of serving, they act like they are doing you a favor by just existing. Zero manners, zero training, and zero professionalism.
Ambience – A Living Nightmare
The furniture is falling apart – tables shake like an earthquake is happening. The entry passage and stairs are FILTHY, like walking through a slum. They use cheap, decades-old plastic water jugs that look like they came straight from a garbage dump. Staff Appearance – Beyond Unacceptable I have never seen restaurant staff dressed so horribly! They were wearing dirty T-shirts and chappals—as if they had just walked in from the streets. The restaurant doesn’t even have basic hygiene standards.
Fake “Reserved” Scam! They put "Reserved" cards on all window-side tables, but guess what? Not a single customer showed up to claim those seats for the entire 1.5 hours I was there! It’s just a cheap trick to stop people from sitting at the best spots. What a scam!
Final Verdict: DO NOT EAT HERE EVEN BY MISTAKE! This place is a complete disaster—bad food, terrible service, rude and dirty staff, overpriced menu, unhygienic surroundings, and on top of that, a scammy reservation system. This is NOT a restaurant for decent people. Avoid it...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Ahmedabad, I checked on availability of restaurants serving Non Vegetarian food and I was given option of Daawat E Khaas. And only 3 words to describe food.......What delicious food. I checked with Stewart on what I should eat and he very cautiously but enthusiastically explained me options available. After sensing my taste towards tandoori dish, he offered me tandoori masala chicken and I ordered a roomali with it. He asked about my preference on plain or with butter and I chose plain. After waiting for about 10 minutes, my food was served and I immediately started drooling as the presentation was awesome and it was inviting to gorge upon. I found that roomali, which I had asked for plain (without butter) had butter on it which I requested Stewart to change and in no time, I got piping hot fresh plain roomali roti. I was served mixed vegetables salad and green chatney. I started and only stopped when everything got finished. It was lovely experience and I found owner (I presume as he was sitting at the counter) was very polite and was eager to drop me back to my hotel which I, politely, denied since I wanted to have a walk back to my hotel. All in all, great...
Read moreI ordered the Andhra-style mutton biryani, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The dish lacked the fiery punch that you'd typically expect from Andhra cuisine, it wasn’t spicy at all. Instead, the masala had a tangy, almost sour flavor that just didn’t sit right, and overall it felt pretty bland. The mutton pieces were a letdown too—mostly bones with very little actual meat, making the whole experience even more frustrating.
To make matters worse, the service was painfully slow. We ended up waiting around 40 to 45 minutes for our food to arrive, which just added to the already sour mood. We also tried their egg chilli fry hoping it would redeem the meal somehow, but unfortunately, it was just as disappointing, greasy, underwhelming, and lacking flavor.
And as if all that wasn’t enough, they didn’t accept payment via Dineout, even though they were listed as a partner. I had to escalate the issue to Dineout, and while they did issue me a voucher, the hassle left a bad taste. This used to be one of my go-to spots, but after this experience, it’s clear that the quality both in food and service has taken a serious nosedive. Truly...
