Mandarin Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Gujarat

First impressions: went on a Saturday evening to attend the birthday party of a friend of my mother's. No person to attend the recieving desk on such a busy day. Atmosphere seemed okay but looked as if the restaurant was slightly understaffed. Ordering experience: The ladies had already ordered and it was around 9:45 p.m. by the time I arrived with a couple of friends. Seats are comfortable to spend ample time on, large tables as usual and general hygiene was maintained. It is upon close inspection that one will notice the imperfections (usually not found at such an overly priced restaurant). These include pieces of hair on the plates, missing tissue papers and tables not being cleaned properly. When we got to ordering, many of the items were not available and even simple things like cheese dumplings giving the reason that the cheese was frozen (I couldn't understand). Serving and taste experience: Waited for about 15 minutes to find out that drinks and mocktails were not available due to the weekend rush. No problems, just a thing to take note of. Perppered chicken in gravy, basil chicken dimsum, Thai seasoned dimsum, chicken hakka noodles, chilli garlic veg noodles and veg fried rice to top it off. Flavour of all the food seemed a bit bland. Nothing to justify the price for the taste or out of the ordinary. Had recently visited for dinner with Family to celebrate birthdayand was my worst decision. From the beginning, as the table was unconvenient so we shifted to another table in different section. Even when allocation of table they will say the area is in renovation and when the people increase they will allocate table in that area, not now this was same attitude when the restaurant was in center square mall.The wait staff service was pathetic we had to wait 35 mins to get the soup and so on. The worst of all that, even after letting them know that we have senior citizen and a kid, they did not bother and gave lame excuse that ur food went to delivery man by mistake and it was repeated for every dish.The manager was like ya sorry the mistakes happens, even after informing them that it was my wifes birthday.The people who came after us were served before us just because it had a 7 to 8 people we were made to feel that we dont have any value and u will be served at their will.High priority is given to zomato and take away order or if u have large number of people. The height was the waiter took desert from our table to other customer table to show them what the dish looks like and after showing kept it back on our table.What nonsense. Will never ever...

Heard a lot of good reviews. Visited on 06 Aug 19. Entered at 2030 hrs, vacated at 2050 hrs. Totally convinced, that i will never visit again. There is parking only for 2 cars. So called vallet parking guided me to a remote corner, in front of a broken down shop. The staff is utterly rude and impolite. My wife called for waiter, and we waited for 5 min. As the gentleman was engrossed in some other task. Being a tuesday, hardly 3 more tables had customers. Still the staff was somewhat engrossed with their own tasks, 2 of them were busy on mobile. After 10 min, i got up and approached the manager, Mr Sumit. His response was equally disappointing. He said, i was talking on phone. Menu is on the table, what else you want. That was enough hospitality for us to continue our further dining out at main land china. I have visited their other restaurant in vadodara and other cities. I strongly feel, such staff are spoiling the name if a great franchise. Its not one customer they lost. I am sure such behaviour will not be acceptable to many others. I sincerely hope, for some change in their approach towards treating customers. Their attitude speaks, as if they are doing a favour to customers.
