Retro Bistro is a time dining restaurant located in one of the most posh areas of Vadodara i.e. at Race course road. I visited this restaurant on one of the weekends with one of my friend and my review is based on the following factors-

Food : The first and the most important factor for rating any restaurant has to be food and this is where Retro Bistro scored moderate. The food is average with many but not very creative options. Also, there is nothing very novice about them. We had Chinese sizzler and a Vegetable Pizza and there was nothing out of the world in either of them. Also, the food was quite expensive keeping in mind the quality and quantity.They could certainly come up with better options.

Service: This is where the restaurant scored really high. The staff is friendly and courteous. They also suggest good convincing options in case we are confused. Overall, a very people friendly place.

Ambiance: This is where the restaurant ranks the highest. It has an amazing ambiance which makes all of your pictures Insta worthy! Just kidding. But the place is perfect for a brief catchup as well as a date. Also there is a lovely entrance and some really good lighting.

The food did not match the great ambiance unfortunately . +ve's *Great ambiance, very large Bistro , with different themes and rooms so getting a table should not be a problem. *Extensive menu set out in a news paper form ( bit confusing in layout terms) , Italian; Mexican; Indian; etc *Liked the water with mint leaves jar on each table. *Service was generally attentive -ve's *Seating, sofa's too low down compared to the table( and I am quite tall , nearly 6 ft tall , don't know how shorter people would manage) *Food was very spicy despite telling server to tone down the hotness *Very small portions; particularly the baked enchiladas , ordered it as main course, how ever I would say it was more like a stater and it did cost around 500 INR! Tandoori Sizzlers was a bit larger but rice portion was quite small for two people to share. that too was 519 INR. Also it seemed the chef must have opened a new packet of salt as everything wasover overpowering with salt. Total bill 1018 INR , plus GST for 2 dishes, so value wise and quantity wise it failed to...
