Sagar Restaurant — Restaurant in Gujarat

Sagar Restaurant was the 1st non-veg restaurant I visited back in year 2015, and immediately felt in love with the food. As a foreigner, we seen all the dishes as curry, and we are unable to differentiate it. Back then, the owner was kind enough to help us to order our food, to suit our taste. I personally will drop by whenever I have a chance.

My most recent visit was 3 years after, in which whole staff changed. The current waiter to me is not professional, as I requested a less spicy boneless mutton dish. My mutton was served with bone and the waiter insisted that Im the one who ordered it, and the owner just lay back and watch the entire show, without taking any action.

Further to that, while I was finishing my meal, I was presented with the bill without my request. Back in my country, this is a sign that you are an unwelcome guest, and the shop wanted you to leave immediately. Too bad that I have not gone through the desserts yet and was made to leave.

My advice to the owner, I felt in love with the restaurant not only because of the food, but your hospitality and your waiter warmest to the guest. I do recalled we once left a handsome tips of 50USD for the waiter because he was so attentive to us. Now, even leaving a Rs50 tips I felt its too much.
