It's fair to say that my life, without having food delivered from here, is surely incomplete. It's also safe to say that Biryani by Kilo is the reason, Biryani is one of the dishes I'm addicted to. And not just any biryani but the biryani they make and prepare with utmost care and and with a great amount of effort. The effort that goes into making this biryani is the reason the biryani turns out to be a work of art every time. Without a doubt, when it comes to packaging of the food, they are the best in their business. I have always been a big fan of their Hyderabadi Chicken biryani, galouti kebabs and of course the phirni. This time I went with :-
~ Mushroom Pepper Fry ~ Paneer Nawabi ~ Malamaal Chicken Biryani ~ Dastan-e-gul
This is my new favorite combination from this place. This place will not only make Non Vegetarians happy, but the food they offer here is a treat for vegetarians as well. Mushroom Pepper Fry and Paneer Nawabi is the biggest proof of that. The Chicken Malamaal biryani is for the ones who want meat with everything. The balance between the meat and rice is level ensuring that you get chicken in every bite you have. WHO DOESN'T LOVE A LOT OF CHICKEN ? Finally, the all new dessert Dastan-e-gul. A dessert in a jar having layers of Gulukand, Loki ka Halwa and rich dry fruits. If any dessert was to give any competition to their classic phirni, it had to be class apart. And this was JUST THAT.
Order anything from their menu, you would not be disappointed. Biryani by Kilo offers an experience of delicious and appetizing home delivered food, that you can relish for...
Read moreI had ordered their 1 kilo Hyderabadi Biryani (also called kutchi dum biryani) along with Phirni quite recently and was happily astonished by the quality. It reiterated my faith in the fact that freshest ingredients yield the best food. Something it seems Biryani by kilo follows.
I found the biryanis to be really fragrant. They tasted very well. I was indeed having such a flavoursome biryani after a very long time. Most of my recent biryani experiments were a big disappointment. The mutton in the Hyderabadi biryani was well cooked and literally falling off the bone. The long grain basmati rice had the right bite and every spoonful was enjoyable. There were two of us eating and we polished off the entire kilo within no time. The accompanying salan/ gravy was a bit of a let down but not bad from any corner.
As for the phirni, it was quite nice to taste and aromatic, though I think that the rice was a tad underdone.
Biryani by kilo uses the pre booking concept for their deliveries. What you order today is delivered to you tomorrow. This way, biryani by kilo ensures that your order comes to you at the appointed time. Biryani by kilo, the name itself indicates that they sell by weight and...
Read moreWe are a very old customer of biryani by kilo, we would love to wait for 1-1.5 hrs for the delivery knowing how delicious the Biryanis taste. But from last 2-3 orders we are getting highly disappointed, yesterday was our last chance given to them. Don't know what it is. Cost cutting or change in chefs, the taste is not at all the trademark taste of biryani by kilo now. Quality of rice used for biryani has been changed, the current one is nothing in comparision to the super soft and thin rice they used to use before. They no more send the complementary salan. You need to order them separately. They no more send their signature, heating equipment they used to send and boast before on a written note they would send before saying that without heating as we recommend using our equipment you won't get the best taste. The chicken in Kolkata as well as hyderabadi biryani was so dry and tasteless yesterday. When there are so many options available in the market, why would ant customer chose to be loyal if the brand itself is not thinking of being loyal to its customers, specially old ones who were...
